Race 3 – No. 8  West On Archer

Slow beginner but he can produce a strong finish once he winds right up. He’ll appreciate the wide draw and recent form in this and similar company suggests he’ll go mighty close again.

Race 6 – No. 7  Fernando Fury

Has rarely run a bad race in WA, finishing on the podium in 9 of 11 attempts so far. Never gave up when second throughout on Friday in a PB of 22.73 and does have a liking for wide draws. Hard to jump off him just yet.

Race 8 – No. 3  Submariner

Impressive when returning to the winners circle on Friday, leading all the way in a smart 22.56 over the 405m. Making his 490m debut but gives every impression he’ll handle the rise and looks hard to catch from the favourable draw.
