Race 1

TORREVEAN AMY (1) wasn’t a bad effort first up before doing things wrong, she has since been back to trials and performed well enough to suggest a sharp improvement here. MAKE YOUR MARK (11) was KO’d on return, backs up 7 days later and finds a more suitable race. She can watch things unfold early and go from there, not a horse that wins out of turn but she will be in the thick of it. SEAGRASS (9) has to overcome a horrid draw, she will keep improving. ADORE ME SOME MORE (2) suited by the drop back in grade but she can mix her form. COURAGE OF LOMBO (3) always has to be considered a place chance with that early speed.

Suggested Bet: MAKE YOUR MARK (11) each way.

Race 2

ROCKIN RUFUS (2) is performing better than numerical form suggests, he looks well placed here and can get the job done tonight. PATH OF GOLD (1) looking to get back to solid form, has options from the draw but think he is more a place chance. FRANCO WESTERN (6) gets down in grade and can be driven more assertive in this class, he won’t be far away. TUX AND TAILS (7) is a good staying type and should be respected at odds. MEDIEVAL MAN (9) returns and his best work is up to these but being first up from a bad draw comes with concerns. JUSTLIKE TURBO (11) will let things unfold early and be running on strongly.

Race 3

WHATARETHEODDS (4) was very solid on his come back performance, with the way the race was run I thought he was very brave. With that run under his belt I think this looks a very suitable grade for him to perform at his best, go close. CODENAME MARCUS (3) appears the main danger as he could find the top, his form has been consistent. LUKE ATTACK (1) has the draw to figure into the novelties along with GOTA GOOD WARHOL (10) who should get a perfect run and the field could open at the right time for him. GEE SMITH (12) continues with his drop back but finds another unfavourable draw.

Suggested Bet: WHATARETHEODDS (4) to win.

Race 4

A lot of speed off the front line could make this an interesting early battle. I have played the race to suit a back marker so that will need to happen to some extent. AMERICAN BULLITT (8) has been racing consistently and races well at the longer trip, I think he can run a big race here. ROAD CLOSURE (2) will be coming out hard looking for the top, if he can find the rail it will elevate his winning chances. DISCO UNDER FIRE (9) is a knockout chance in this grade, this is the right type of class and could be the right tempo to suit him. RAKERO RAIDER (1) doesn’t need to lead to perform well but could be a bit happening early for him. SECRET REACTION (3) has early speed and is looking to bounce back, prefer her at shorter distances along with NAME IN LIGHTS (5) who could cross them all.

Suggested Bet: AMERICAN BULLITT (8) each way.

Race 5

ROCKNROLL SPIRIT (6) was 3 deep the trip last start and fought on very bravely which has never been his best attribute in the past. I am expecting to have to do the work again but this looks a more achievable assignment. LADY VALASCA (1) has been slightly disappointing recently but gets a good opportunity from the good draw. DON’T GOIN THEWATER (10) had no luck last time out and looks to get a good run here. RISING SPIRIT (11) looks to drop in grade a touch and form has been sound, keep him safe. 5,7 & 9 are all capable but can mix their form and the draws appear to be against them a bit.

Suggested Bet: ROCKNROLL SPIRIT (6) to win.

Race 6

HENGHENG (1) should be getting back to peak fitness, he drops in grade sharply and gets the perfect draw, he ticks a lot of boxes going into this and looks the one to beat. CLASSNSMART (11) seems  to get along really well with Shannon Suvaljko and can perform strongly here. MAKE IT QUICK (2) returns and although he might need the run I still think he can run into the novelties. MAJOR OVERS (8) was a bit disappointing on Friday, his best is up to these. LILLY LAGUNA (10) can place from the good draw.

Suggested Bet: HENGHENG (1) to win.

Race 7 

TUALOU (6) will be winning this by as far as Deni Roberts wants to. Classes above. VISITING HOURS (2) has a good draw and looks likely to be leaders back and can run into the Exacta position. VEEFORVICTORY (3) should get a soft run on the peg line and is a must for novelties. SPUDMEISTER (8) can do some work in his races, therefore can get into it a bit better than some of the others.

Suggested Bet: VISITING HOURS (2) to place.

Race 8

WANDERING GIRL (6) is a quick beginner and finds a really suitable grade for her to return to the winners list, I think she can cross and from there it could be all over. TORREVEAN PINKY (1) is improving and should get a good run at them again, go well. CARMELA DOMENICA (2) is also improving and with the small field she will be hitting the line strongly. BELLE LIVIA STAR (7) draw is against her a bit but she can run well. JUST ALL STYLE (5) hit the line pretty well last run and can improve further here.

Suggested Bet: WANDERING GIRL (6) to win.

Race 9

STAY FOCUSED (3) has been performing well without much luck as of late and against stronger fields. The trotting side of things has been a slight issue but I think if he does it all correct he can win this race. PEACHEE (7) is dropping in grade nicely and looks to be the main danger, she will go well. SELLUNE (2) gets another opportunity but finding it hard to break through here in WA. KYVALLEY CLICHY (4) has trialled up well enough to suggest a forward showing on return. DARK SECRET (5) is a novelty chance, does like the longer trip.

Suggested Bet: STAY FOCUSED (3) to win.

Race 10

DEKLA DIVA (4) has to win this race, she will not get a better opportunity than the one presented to her here but she will be a ridiculously short priced favourite. TERASITA (6) is probably the bet in the race after trialling up well, her race form is nothing to speak of but her most recent trial suggests that if she produces that in a race she can win. CONTROL QUEEN (2) hit the line ok in a recent trial and has a good draw. RIPPER VIEW (1) by virtue of the barrier comes in top 4 contention just ahead of FLY EAGLEROSE (5).
