Matt Young’s Tuesday Gloucester Park Preview Posted on May 14, 2024May 14, 2024 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 SORRIDERE (6) is racing well but I feel he is capable of better; he has good gate speed and with that he could find the top and give a bold sight. SISTER CHERIE (9) is a smart mare who will have to overcome a very wide draw on return, trial was sound. RATTLIN LILLY (5) can be her own worst enemy but is very much capable. AMERICAN CRUISE (7) is showing promise, but this is a harder assignment, good test for him. HEEZ GOOD AS GOLD (8) and CRY HAVOC (4) appear to be novelty chances. Tips: 6 9 7 5 Suggested Bet: SORRIDERE (6) to win. Race 2 KEEGAN BANNER (5) returns and is a speedy type early, if he can find the top he will run a bold race. SISTER ACT (1) comes up with a better draw and looks set to run a better race here. LUKE ATTACK (8) can do work in his races and likely to be put into the event, each way. BETTOR CLASS (10) is fitter and drawn well. CAMS BOULDER (6) will find this harder. RAKERO RAIDER (9) going well but draw is against him and expect SIDSTREPO (12) to run on well and be a novelty chance. Tips: 5 8 12 1 Suggested Bet: LUKE ATTACK (8) each way. Race 3 PAROQUET (1) has performed very well in her last two races. She has good natural speed and an element of toughness which should see her win this race in most scenarios. LUCAPELO (7) is racing consistently and likely driven forward and will stick on. FIREPLAY (10) ideally drawn and looms as a strong place chance. MAJOR CORRIDA (11) likely to follow the rails and be dangerous for a novelty prospect if he gets out early enough. Tips: 1 10 11 7 Suggested Bet: PAROQUET (1) to win. Race 4 WAVERIDER (8) is a very talented pacer and looking away from his defeat on Friday night, I am expecting them to drive him like the best horse in the race and the Ryan Bell trained 3yo should dominate. BETTOR ARCADE (3) is fitter for his first up third, he can be driven forward early and think he will be the one to catch. RAJAH ROCKS (1) ideally drawn, novelty player. ARMA BELIEVER (5) has good early speed but his best chances look to be him finding the rail which don’t appear to be a simple task. Tips: 8 3 1 5 Suggested Bet: WAVERIDER (8) to win. Race 5 IDEAL MUSCLE (1) has the perfect draw and looks to have found a race with his name all over it, looks the leader and should control, very hard to beat. CORK CAN RUN (3) has options from the draw, thought he would go in behind the pole marker and become a very good place chance. FRANCO ENCORE (4) was fantastic with his win on Friday night defeating stable mate WAVERIDER, this doesn’t look simple with plenty of speed underneath, keep him safe. PRINCE OF PAIN (5) follows speed well, place hope. Tips: 1 3 4 5 Suggested Bet: IDEAL MUSCLE (1) to win. Race 6 COURAGE OF LOMBO (1) performed well on Friday night and on the back up here she is ideally drawn and has options, looking at the race she appears a great each way prospect with more weight placed into the placing column. VALHALLA MISS (4) had her chance to run closer on Friday night in the same race, she is capable of better. RECOVER LOVER (5) is racing well but they have been driving her conservatively, this is an awkward draw and the map doesn’t look great for her. PUREST COPPER (6) drops in grade and although not at her best, expecting her to improve here. EVE CROCKER (7) is fitter for the first up run and must be kept safe here. TIGER LOU (12) was strong in her first win but this race is deeper, a definite chance again. Open race. Tips: 1 6 7 12 Suggested Bet: COURAGE OF LOMBO (1) each way. Race 7 BANK NOTICE (2) comes up with a great draw, looks the likely leader here and will be given every chance out in front. COVERNOTE (11) has improved noticeably this preparation and will follow through and land handy enough, looks the main danger. JACKIE DANIELS (7) is first up but could play a part, suggesting more of a place chance on return as she is more prominently known as a speed type. LORD PUBLISHER (8) has been a hard horse to follow, happy to wait until he shows more. Tips: 2 11 7 8 Suggested Bet: BANK NOTICE (2) to win. Race 8 JILLIBY JAKE (1) gets a wonderful opportunity off the inside draw to lead and also to return to the winners list. He doesn’t win out of turn these days but is still very much a potent front runner who should be respected even more at the short course. GOTA GOOD WARHOL (10) has the perfect draw, he has improved sharply since being defeated as a short priced favourite and is a winning chance if he sees daylight. COLD HARD CASH (3) has ability and on return finds a suitable race, keep safe. ELLIEGOZOOM (2), DWAYNE (12) and TRIROYALE BRIGADE (7) are all racing well enough to feature in the money. Tips: 1 10 3 12 Suggested Bet: GOTA GOOD WARHOL (10) each way. Race 9 UPTOWN LAD (1) just needs to step away safely to win this race, he is a bold front running type and looks to return back to the winners list. EVAS IMAGE (5) has improved with every run back from a spell and looks the testing material. CHUMANI (3) is never far away and is normally reliable away. PEACHEE (6) can improve off a fairer handicap. Tips: 1 5 3 6 Suggested Bet: UPTOWN LAD (1) to win. Market Market
