Matt Young’s Monday Pinjarra Preview

Race 1

HEZA WHIZARD (6) is the best trotter in the field and looks hard to beat here but as we know he can do plenty wrong and can be costly, if he does everything right, I expect him to win. SUNNYS LITTLE ROSE (2) won well last start and looks hard to beat as she does things correct most of the time. DREAMBIGAIMHIGH (3) is always around the mark and expect nothing different today. SELLUNE (4) is in top form, he has been the bridesmaid a lot in his career and on form he is a winning chance but there is a trend forming. MRIYA DREAM (1) trialled well and can run a solid race.

Race 2

ICE COLD SAPPORO (3) trialled up well recently and looks hard to beat on debut, Gary Hall Jnr had the choice between him and the next selection and he rarely pulls the wrong rein. EVERYWHERE MAN (2) was solid in his previous run and looks a strong winning chance, has the draw advantage and will go close. MICKEY BE SWIFT (1) drawn ideally and looks a novelty chance, his last couple have been just okay. CRUNCH THE NUMBERS (8) gets another good draw and will follow through and be a place hope. GIRL OF BRIGHTNESS (4) has a tricky draw to work with but has been sound in her first two starts.

Suggested Bet: ICE COLD SAPPORO (3) to win.

Race 3

YO ADRIAN (1) has been getting very close to breaking through and today he has the ace draw and appears to be the one to beat. ICY COLD (4) creates interest on return, keep safe and expect her to run well for the in form Kim Prentice stable. SWITCH BLADE (5) drops in grade and can be used at both ends, expect him to go well on an each way basis. AIR MARSHAL (7) on the quick backup from Friday where he performed soundly, place hope. WALLEN (10), IDONTWANABEAPIRATE (11) & HOLD YOUR FIRE (12) will all be running on strongly but have tough draws to overcome over the mile.

Race 4

SOUNDS TREACHEROUS (1) has been quite costly to the punters and last start there really were no excuses, has the draw and likely to be popular with the market again. MARLEDIE (8) drawn to get a good run and wasn’t beaten far last time out. SONGSTER (6) getting fitter again and think he has his fair share of upside here. THINGS CHANGE (7) is capable but he just needs to begin with them safely to be somewhat threatening late.

Tips: 6 1 8 7

Suggested Bet: SONGSTER (6) each way.

Race 5

RIPPER VIEW (8) has gone well in her last 3 starts, was a winner here from the breeze and then 5th behind Nase Vira before a last start second to in form Heartofahlia. She will require a touch of luck but expecting her to be very dangerous late and thought she was the one to beat. EE JAY WHY (3) hit the line well last run and looks to be encouraging but likely to go around shorter than she should. INTERNAL AFFAIRS (9) will position up close enough and looks to be dangerous late. THERE AND THEN (2) gets the good draw now and can be placed. EEBEE AVIATOR (4) mixing her form but should be close enough for novelty contention.

Suggested Bet: RIPPER VIEW (8) to win.

Race 6

MIKIS BEACH (7) is a very raw talent on return, he has an abundance of ability and although he bumps into a reasonably deep race I am expecting him to be too good for his rivals. ITS JUSTA SHOTAWAY (1) has been a consistent performer and is drawn to be prominent again. ROMAN LEGION (5) fitter for the first up win and has plenty of talent in his own right. CHACO EAGLE (6) has come back in top form and looks more of a novelty chance in this. SPOIL THE PARTY (4) has ability but could be a tricky map. HEZ SAM (9) on the quick backup and will follow through nicely and be dangerous in the novelties.

Suggested Bet: MIKIS BEACH (7) to win.

Race 7 

GET THE BOOTH (2) is in top form and looks the potential leader, she was outstanding in defeat last time out and will go very close here. PECUNIOUS (1) returns and has the perfect draw, she trialled up soundly for this race and has options. OUR LILILOU (8) has the perfect draw to suit her racing style, she will be dangerous late. ZARA TINDALL (3) rises in grade but is fitter for this assignment. SWEET IVY (5) is racing well and will be getting home strongly. JOLTED CHARM (9) and SEAGRASS (10) both novelty chances

Suggested Bet: GET THE BOOTH (2) to win.

Race 8

GEE HEZA SPORT (8) loves the standing start caper and although he hasn’t won for a long time he looks perfectly placed to break through here. First up run at Gloucester Park was good and he looks the one to beat. NORTHVIEW DANCE (2) can elevate, he has been winning against easier fields but in good times and looks to handle the rise in grade. CALIENTE (1) is a place chance from the good draw. BELLISSIMO ACQUISTO (5) is last years winner of this race and no reason he cant feature again but it is quite a deep race. CHEDDAR IS BETTER (6) and THE WILDCARD (7) both novelty hopes with their respective speed off the tapes. SOHO SANTORINI (9) will run well on the quick backup.

Suggested Bet: GEE HEZA SPORT (8) to win.

Race 9 

CASTELLA DELLACQUA (11) has been in career best form and although she has a tricky draw over the mile to work with I am expecting her to thrive here and be very hard to beat. RUNNINGONEMPTY (9) will punch through hard from the second line and lob handy and he will be dangerous. Plenty of speed off the front line makes it an intriguing contest. OUR VINNIE (2) has improved recently and shouldn’t be far away. TRIGWELL ROAD (4) is in top form and has the speed to potentially burn them off. VELOCIPEDE (5) should be kept safe for the always dangerous Michael George stable. SPRING LINE (8) is going well and is a novelty chance.

Suggested Bet: CASTELLA DELLACQUA (11) to win.

Race 10

FRANKLIN DELANO (5) has really elevated in his recent runs and with the draw advantage looks to turn the tables on the horse who beat him two starts ago in GOODTIME LOUIS (7) who draws wide but has plenty of speed and will find out a lot more about him today. MONEY TIME MADNESS (3) has been mixing his form but from the good draw I am expecting him to feature in the novelties. SEA FURY (11) gets a better draw with scratchings drawn to his inside, novelty hope here. LOW FLYIN (4) and SUKHOVEY WINDSTORM (6) can feature in the novelties, keep them safe.
