Shortte’s Handful for Mandurah Posted on August 19, 2016August 22, 2016 | Posted by David Shortte David Shortte’s Preview Race 2 No. 4 MULWEE GRAND Mandurah Specialist who has been racing in fine style. Has won his last couple over the 405 metres in best of night times and while he is stepping up in trip has won here in slick time over the 490 metres in the past. Has the edge in early pace and should make his own luck up front. Tough to run down. Race 5 No. 2 RAMIFICATIONS Versatile chaser who steps back in trip to the 490 metres after dominating recent assignments over the staying journeys. Has good early zip and after a little freshen up should be able to sit handy from the rails draw. Has won 15 of his 30 career outings and quite simply with a clear run should be too classy for these. Very smart type. Race 11 No. 2 WIJNALDUM Lightly raced youngster who has won his last couple – over the 520 metres at Cannington in 30.51 and here last week over the 405 metres in 22.83. Draws down near the rails for the first time in his career and that shouldn’t harm his chances. This is not a strong lineup and with a repeat of last week’s performance should salute again.
