Power Surge to Hit Perth Posted on August 22, 2016February 27, 2017 | Posted by David Shortte 16 time champion of the world Phil Taylor has made a habit of winning throughout his career but surely even “The Power” himself would be pleasantly surprised with the winning record he has pieced together in Australia in recent years. With his 11-9 victory in Saturday night’s Sydney Darts Masters final over Dutchman Michael Van Gerwen, he stretched his Aussie winning sequence to 24 straight and in the process brought up his 215th professional career tournament success. The “Down Under” winning streak has been accumulated in taking out the last 4 straight Sydney Darts Masters titles and the last two TABtouch Perth Darts Masters crowns. He will be looking to extend the phenomenal streak on Thursday night when the TABtouch Perth Darts Masters get underway at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre. Taylor will take on a star-studded lineup which includes the dutch duo of Michael Van Gerwen and Raymond Van Barneveld, UK guns Gary Anderson, Adrian Lewis, Peter Wright, James Wade and Dave Chisnell and Aussie headliners Simon Whitlock and Kyle Anderson. The x-factors in the tournament are the Oceania representatives, four of which are living the dream after winning Qualifying events to take their spot in the field. The market has opened up with Taylor a $5 chance to bring up his 7th straight tournament victory in this country – it looks very tempting. Click below for the latest markets on the event. bet now
