Scott’s Kalgoorlie Cup Day Preview Posted on September 22, 2017 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 SPEED BANDIT was never a winning chance last weekend when held up the entire length of the home straight. FOXY ROYALE looked the winner at the 100m mark on Wednesday. FIREMAN FREDDY is drawn fairly awkwardly in the small field. CIAO MISS TURPIN next best. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 1 – 5 Suggested Bet – SPEED BANDIT WIN Race 2 HEIDI WHITES has shown enough ability at trials to suggest she can win on debut. This field is far from strong and she is drawn perfectly. MIGHTY QUICK is the stablemate and also on debut. Trials have been sound and should lob leader’s back. UNIVERSAL HALO was solid last start. URQUELL backs up from last weekend. Numbers: 9 – 10 – 8 – 7 Suggested Bet – HEIDI WHITES WIN Race 3 PENALTY POINT won well last weekend and from a midfield draw should park behind them and zap the leaders late. BADGE OF COURAGE will be looking to hold the lead from the inside gate. FAT AMY was an eye catching run in the same race. QUEENIE O’LARA likely parks outside the lead. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 8 – 4 Suggested Bet – PENALTY POINT WIN Race 4 MUDLODE looked as though he found the 1760m a little too far. Dropping back to 1400m looks far more suitable. YEAH YEAH YEAH was held up the majority of the straight on Wednesday. RED NOIRE should get a lovely run midfield. ANY GIVEN TIME was run off his legs at 1200m. Numbers: 1 – 8 – 2 – 5 Suggested Bet – MUDLODE WIN Race 5 MEDICI VASE is drawn perfectly, blinkers go on and he is back in distance. This looks very winnable. HE SAID SHE SAID will slide across the face of the field and take up the running. DON’T SPEED should get every chance from the inside gate. TOM ALMIGHTY goes well at the mile at Kalgoorlie. Numbers: 6 – 2 – 7 – 1 Suggested Bet – MEDICI VASE WIN Race 6 RIKKI TIKKI TAVI was held up the entire length of the straight behind Phantom Choice last weekend. He can turn the tables here. PHANTOM CHOICE was a strong winner from just off the pace. Drawn to get a similar run here. VONUS almost reeled him in and gets a weight swing. HEY BRO drops back in grade. Numbers: 8 – 4 – 6 – 1 Suggested Bet – RIKKI TIKKI TAVI WIN Race 7 SHINTA MANI did it tough in the Boulder Cup. From barrier 5 expect she will get a more economic run in transit and prove hard to hold out. ALREADY FAMOUS takes luck out of the equation by racing right on top of the speed. SOMEDAY ONE DAY has been racing extremely consistently. DANEHILLS DAUGHTER is chasing a fifth straight win and is tough as nails. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 12 – 8 Suggested Bet – SHINTA MANI WIN Race 8 BJORN TO LOVE looks far better suited over the 1760 than the staying trip. He gets his chance to break a long run of outs. REUNION HILL was a strong winner last weekend and expect him to be given a similar gun ride. STREET BANDIT was caught three wide throughout in the same race. CAROB gets back in the run and comes with one sprint. Numbers: 9 – 5 – 7 – 3 Suggested Bet – BJORN TO LOVE WIN SuperPick - Race 8 No. 9 BJORN TO LOVE - Win Boost Quaddie (Races 5 – 8) 2,6,7 4,6,7,8 2,3,8,12 3,5,7,9 Bet Now
