Harry Buchanan’s Wednesday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on August 23, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch CANNINGTON Race 5 No. 2 Molfetta Drive and No. 6 Molfetta Cruise The kennel mates are getting better each time they step out. The 2 gets a slight lean here with the draw and the good run last week while the 6 ran on well last time and can show some speed but has a tricky draw to offset. The 2 gets the better run but happy to play both EW in an open race. Race 7 No. 2 Nitro Jet, No. 1 Soul’s Glory and No. 3 Wise Dohne Playing 3 runners here. Looking for the arm with the 2 and 3. They will both inject themselves straight into this at box rise. The 2 won’t be caught if he leads solo while the 3 will just need to slip away to be hard to catch as well. The 1 is a silly price and while he’s better off wide, he can handle the inside draw and could surprise here and he is very strong. Win bets on 2 and 3 and backing the 1 EW. Race 8 No. 1 West On Gecko and No. 3 Garnett’s Gem The start critical for the 1. If he can step well, he has the muster and speed to drive up here before he gets off the fence to get wide where he likes to be from the first turn. Hard to catch if he does hold up. The 3 will pressure him though and could cross him and that would see the 3 slip away. Fitter this week and good effort last week when nabbed late. Race 9 No. 4 Anasazi Monelli and No. 2 West On Muffin The 4 could lead this race and then be very hard to mow down. No pace either side and she is stepping well. Best chance in a while to do something at a big quote. Save on the 2 who was good last time making up many lengths. Her best step would also see her on speed and hard to hold off from there. Both top two shows here. Race 10 No. 6 Watusi Well boxed here and this is a race he can absolutely get into. Yet to win here track and trip but placed several times and his last two runs excellent for this. Can step and hold the wide line and sustain the run home. Great show and an EW price. Race 12 No. 5 Electric Data Our old mate goes around again and the double figures has the interest. Draw isn’t bad here and he handles middle boxes well off this start and can lead or come from back. His toughest test to date here over the trip but he’s a competitor and will keep finding to the line no matter where from. EW go here again. SANDOWN SPEEDSTAR We will go through every match and give the selections and then the overall look at the end. Race 1 No. 3 Moraine Suzie Race 2 No. 3 Like Wildfire Race 3 No. 1 Valor Bale Race 4 No. 3 Minter Frost Race 5 No. 3 Belle Violin Race 6 No. 1 Hector Fawley Race 7 No. 1 Aston Luciano Race 8 No. 1 Cruise Mode Race 9 No. 3 Pearly Tears Race 10 No. 3 Adhana Rico Race 11 No. 3 Nature Strip Race 12 No. 3 Big Energy SPEED STAR STAYERS Races 1 and 2 You would think Like Wildfire will light the clock up here after taking benefit from the first up look in VIC. Should put the fastest time up with all things equal. Overall: no bet SPEED STAR MIDDLE DISTANCE Races 3, 4, 5 and 6 Hector Fawley a very fast dog when given room to go through the gears. Minter Frost could surprise on the clock EW and Alfie Moon and Valor Bale could run time in their run off as well. Belle Violin the smokie on the clock. Overall: Minter Frost and Belle Violin (small EW specs) SPEED STAR SPRINTERS Races 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 This a lot more open. Big Energy a very fast dog and will set the clock ablaze. However Nature Strip and Launch Code are capable of going very very fast as well. The bet I want to have however is Cruise Mode. I reckon she can stun the clock here over this trip. She’s an EW price to run one of the top 3 quickest and is worth the play Overall: Cruise Mode (EW) Market Market
