Harry Buchanan’s Tuesday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on July 4, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch CANNINGTON Race 9 No. 3 Bounce Li and No. 6 Stella Forever The 3 is the best dog in the race and while the draw isn’t bad, she just needs that first 15m to accelerate off the mat. If she lands close she wins. Unless of course the 6 gets right there. She is the only dog the 3 couldn’t beat one out and she is racing superbly. Best chance to fence drop here and wait as she has done her last couple, albeit off good draws. Both can strike here if they present into the back. Race 10 No. 3 Nitro Jet and No. 4 Call Me Trinity The 3 has form that doesn’t inspire. He was very unlucky 2 starts back however when he’s all but found the arm into the back before being poleaxed. Similar story last time when he could not quite sweep around in time. Box perfect here if he can step again. He just might find that arm this week and that would be it. Small EW spec on the 4 who runs on every week and will get a nice run into the back here if she can stay in touch. Place heavy there. Race 11 No. 2 Teenage Rampage and No. 4 Springview Angus If he’s ever going to win another race here, it’s this one for the 2. Boxed to drop on to the reds back and has the big middle and last run homes to score. Just needs to hold his spot early. The 4 is the best dog in the race but his box doesn’t help with him taking a little bit to get going. In saying that, if the breaks present, they won’t hold him off. Both dogs hard to stop if they land close early. Race 12 No. 5 Wake Up Geoff and No. 6 Scared Lomar The 5 could lead this. He will take some catching if he does. Swept over two starts back but couldn’t go with the winner who held the inside then just failed to cross last time before flattened. Has good box speed when he’s on. Don’t ignore him here. He will however give a lovely cart to the 6 who has been stepping as well. He continues to race well and can lead or come from just off them. Danger if he lands close again. Market Market
