Harry Buchanan’s Thursday Greyhound Tips Posted on June 1, 2023June 1, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch NORTHAM Race 7 No. 2 Cindy Doyle and No. 5 Elite Judan The 2 excels around here and she is poised to knock another one over with a clean start. Runs good time, has early speed and looks the one. The 5 could run a race if she gets up there early. Coming out of an Oaks series where she wasn’t a factor, she could surprise and even though she isn’t quite a genuine 500m dog, this is the track to get away with one. Race 8 No. 3 Barossa Rose Another who loves racing here and comes off a good win here last week. 7 times track and trip and only missed twice from hitting the frame. Has run good time and this is no harder than last time. Expect a forward showing here. Race 10 No. 2 All Over Kora Copped a check at a vital time when in a striking spot last week. 3 time winner here and has a 17.09 to her credit which wins this and easily. Start critical but if she nails it, they will be hard pressed to stop her this time. Race 11 No. 7 Guess Why Has found a stack since racing here at Northam and stepping up to 500. Ran a super race behind Cindy Doyle last time and can handle all boxes. Small field suits again and will charge into top 2 with any sort of luck at all. SANDOWN PARK Race 1 No. 1 Shima Stella Outstanding win last week when returning to her best off the 2 box to race away and destroy them in good time on a steady track. Boxed to repeat here and has a stack of talent that these will struggle to hold out and if she finds the top at any stage then it’s over. Race 5 No. 6 Mahjong Bailey Capable dog coming back from a 595 and is strong enough to get into the finish here. Lacks early dash but he can wind up through the back and descended when he gets clear air. Place heavy player here. Race 6 No. 4 Scofflaw A little disappointing last week but didn’t get a lot of luck at the same time. This quote a bit easier and will again go for the arm early and very hard to mow down if he gets it. Box rise all important for this bloke and he can lead this field with what’s around him. Good show. Race 7 No. 4 Boston Garden and No. 2 Roman Blazer The 4 was good last week with the winner going good time up front. Drawn a little better this time and will again muster quickly to try and find the arm before the first time. The one to beat if he gets it. Keep a watch on the 2 who is versatile and can deliver a knockout blow here. Good record here and makes strong ground late and great record off inside boxes. Race 8 No. 7 Hummock and No. 3 Trending Xara The 7 looks like he can’t quite get the 700 at this stage and the step back to his pet trip is ideal here. Has a big middle section and sustains it home. Good show now. The 3 will be hard to beat also especially if she leads or gets close early. Can run some time and was good at Ballarat last time out. Respect her. Race 11 No. 3 Kanji Tank and No. 6 Yankee Costanza He’s a big clumsy boy the 3 but can unleash a good run home and barge his way into the placings here. Racing well and can surprise. The 6 can also run a race here and is starting to come from off the arm and can go close here if he punches up early. Has a great strike rate and looks ready here after striking some tough races. ALBION PARK The Brisbane Winter Carnival is starting to wheel out some rich races tonight with a Cup prelude, heats of the Flying Amy Classic (G2) and heats of the Chase (G3). Let’s take a look at these races and try and isolate some leading chances. Race 1 This is the Cup prelude and what a race to kick off proceedings. The 8 Panama Pepper was sublime here first up from box 1 last week. The fact remains that T Brett is the best trainer in this country and constantly proves it by siphoning the very best out of any dog he puts a lead on. The move to box 8 is good for this bloke but there is some speed here so he needs to be on song early. 2, 3, 5, 6 all have shows with their early speed and the 7 is always thereabouts around here. No betting due to this but great race to start. Selections: 8-7-5-2 Race 2 First heat of the Flying Amy classic. The 3 Rocket Riot is highly promising. Won 6 from 7 and has early burn. Will be hard to beat. The 4 Elite Alex is a FFA campaigner in VIC and has a class edge on these. Handles all draws and will be there with any luck. 8 has a future and can’t be dismissed from the local kennel while the 6 is unbeaten after four starts. The 1 the only other chance. No betting with a few unknowns. Selections: 4-8-3-1 Race 3 Next heat of the classic and we want to bet here. A shame the 8 Crackerjack Bill hasn’t had time to have a look at the track and has been priced accordingly. He has one almighty engine however!! He has his box and delivers sections that drop anything when he’s on. Can be awkward and lack dash but he can take a check and keep coming and his form is strong for this. He doesn’t want to be chasing the 6 Dolly Dutton though. While she can stake a step or two to get going, she has terrific muster and runs time when she’s on the arm. Bred in the purple and won 9 from 15. The 3 is strong, 5 and 7 up from VIC and are capable but need luck. No interest in the $1.40 for the 1 dog. Can win if he gets absolutely everything his own way. Selections: 8-3-6-1 Race 4 Time for the weapons to be loaded. The 7 Trooper Tears lines up after falling in the group 1 at Sandown behind Amron Boy. Proper dog this bloke. Has gone 29.01 at Sandown and won 10 from 16 and already beaten FFA dogs. Has a serious motor and will be the countries best sprinter in a few short months. Handles all boxes, has all the skills and sections and can take a check and keep coming . The one to beat with any luck. Open affair behind him with chances to several runners. The 5 is unbeaten but new here, the 2 has strong VIC formlines and the 1,3,6 all have claims. Clear run and the 7 wins and he’s at the right price. Selections: 7-2-3-6 Race 5 Another very promising youngster here in 7 Aloha Zulu. Set the clock alight at the Meadows and comes here off a 29.66 win and that’s airborne. Goes fast off the mat and will be hard to stop here if he handles the circuit and gets the arm. The WA dog in 1 Custard Monelli, has a good turn of foot and he will drive up early here to take a forward spot as will the 5 who has strong Vic FFA form and can come out running. The 6 is promising while the 4 has good local knowledge. Open heat this one with a few chances and no bets. Selections: 5-7-1-6 Race 6 The 1 Professor Snitch is a very, very fast dog. Winner of 5 out of 6 and has seen this circuit before. Boxed to give this a huge shake and accelerates very quickly after box rise. The 2 is coming off a blistering WP win in 29.45 and only has to handle the track to be a force. The 6 Pudding Monelli, is probably the most enigmatic dog in the race and he could beat all these if he wants to, but does he want to? Slow early these days which isn’t helping him and box tricky here. Will charge home. The 7 is also good and while not quite up to his brothers standards, he is building his own record up with solid VIC wins in good time and goes well off outside boxes. The 6 might get us for an EW play because he can do anything when he’s on and he’s double figures. Selections: 6-1-7-2 Race 7 Strong heat this. The 5 Crumble Monelli will scorch these to the first turn. Has an unrivalled turn of foot in WA and can bring that dazzling acceleration here to lead these a long way. The last bit could test him here but this is a track where leaders can get right away through the pen. The 3 Crackerjack Aret has a set of gears that few can match. Has put in some monster runs in Vic and only has to bring it here to be a major force, especially on the run home. The 6 has strong local form, the 8 goes fast at box rise but does need to lead while the 2 is capable. Backing the 3 EW here. Selections: 3-5-2-6 Race 8 One of the more open heats. The 7 Mia She’s Fast has competed at the top level but has yet to see this track. Has early speed when she’s on and can handle all draws. The 6 Stealth is a good VIC dog who has a tremendous overall strike rate but he is also new here. The 3 and 5 are along similar lines with their first looks here too. Of the locals, the 8 knows this place backwards and that will hold him in good stead here. Many hopes in this and not a betting race. Selections: 6-8-3-7 Race 9 First heat of the Chase and these are superb races. The 1 Wheel and Go has his box and can handle a corner start well. Will look for an early arm and hard to catch if he gets it. He has challengers here though. 6 Zipping Orlando is strong and racing top company lately, 7 Valor Bale is a winning machine who can come from anywhere and do anything and the 5 Haras River is a local weapon who has won 5 from 6 track and trip. The 7 is a silly price though and gets an EW play with a save on the red Selections: 7-1-5-6 Race 10 Another outstanding heat. The 8 Mepunga Mustang arrives with strong VIC form over the distance. Loves the box 8 draw and corner start. The 2 All Spritzed Up can burn the clock when he is out and running and excels over this distance. The 4 is versatile and goes for the arm early while the 1 and 3 are both strong middle distance dogs. Open heat here and just watching. Selections: 2-4-1-8 Race 11 The gun Victorian in box 1 Ailee Bale will most likely lead here. She can be hard to catch but she’s short enough as she the last bit could test. If the 4 Palawa King gets a crack up the back, he will take all sorts of stopping here. Very strong and versatile. The 7 and 8 both try to cross early here and can stick on all day as both have 700m form and the 7 is a local who races well here. She could surprise these. The 2 also races well here. Few hopes but playing the 4 and 7. Selections: 4-7-8-2 Race 12 Last heat and what a ripper. The VIC flying machine in box 3 Hector Fawley arrives in rare form. Can do it from anywhere and run time in the process. Rails hard and he is a serious change of gears. The 2 Zoha Bale is enigmatic but she can storm into this and will only have to handle the circuit to give it a shake. The 6 is a strong local and the 7 another visitor approaching his 100th start. Other smaller hopes surround these but the fav is the best dog in the race. Might just watch this unfold. Selections: 3-2-6-7 BETS Race 3 No. 8 Crackerjack Bull (EW) Race 4 No. 7 Trooper Tears (Win) Race 6 No. 6 Pudding Monelli (EW) Race 7 No. 3 Crackerjack Aret (EW) Race 9 No. 7 Valor Bale (EW) and No. 1 Wheel and Go (Win) Race 11 No. 4 Palawa King and No. 7 Sunburst Market Market
