Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on June 1, 2023June 1, 2023 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 ROCKMYSTER (1) has led throughout to win three out of his last four starts. He goes up in class for this assignment but he dashed home in good time at his last start and looks the one to beat from the pole. ROCK ON TOP (7) defeated a weaker field first-up and will be charging home if there is a solid tempo. ARMED REACTOR (10) is an inconsistent type but can challenge if he displays his best. ARDENS HORIZON (3) has impressed at his first two runs back from a spell and can figure with the right run. Tips: 1 7 10 3 Suggested Bet: ROCKMYSTER (1) to win. Race 2 CLASSIC CHOICE (6) has faced the breeze and been placed in two of his last three starts and will be suited by the staying journey tonight. STAMFORD (5) didn’t see daylight here last week and will give as sight if he can cross at the start. ELDAYTONA (1) hasn’t had much luck since a strong 2nd here four starts back and looks a big improver from the pole. THE CODE BREAKER (10) has been placed in his last five starts and will be charging home if he sees daylight at the right time. Tips: 6 5 1 10 Suggested Bet: CLASSIC CHOICE (6) to win. Race 3 WHOS THE DAD (1) has been ultra-impressive in winning his last two starts and has a significant barrier advantage over his main rival. STENO (7) crossed the Nullabor with a big reputation and lived up to it with a dominant win at her first start in the state and is the obvious danger HILLVIEW BONDI (2) and WAIT FOR THE BELL (3) are drawn to settle close to the speed and both look good place chances. Tips: 1 7 2 3 Suggested Bet: WHOS THE DAD (1) to win. Race 4 SWINGBAND (5) didn’t make the most of his barrier advantage two starts back when 3rd to Prince Of Pleasure and encounters a similar scenario here. His form is strong and he should prove very hard to beat if he goes forward at the start. JETT STAR (7) has won his last four on end and is the obvious danger. THE MUSTANG (2) might have the speed to lead but may struggle to hang on in this company. WHATABRO (3) is drawn to get a nice run just off the speed and should be thereabouts again. Tips: 5 7 2 3 Suggested Bet: SWINGBAND (5) to win. Race 5 ACHARNE GIRL (2) has resumed with two victories in easier company but the rise in class tonight is offset by her good draw. DONTBESILLYCHILLI (6) has been placed in three of her last four starts and can test the favourite if she gets the right run in transit. SHEHADI (1) has options at the start and she must be considered on her recent form against the boys. ALTA QUEEN (4) has a good strike rate and shouldn’t be far away from this barrier. Tips: 2 6 1 4 Suggested Bet: ACHARNE GIRL (2) to win. Race 6 OTIS (10) galloped out but put up an enormous performance to win at his first start for 18 months and is clearly the one to beat on that effort. SOHO DOW JONES (2) was a dominant 16m winner at his last start and will give the favourite something to catch if he steps to the front. BEAT THE BANK (1) has been placed in three of his last four starts and should be thereabouts again from the pole tonight. CALL TO ARMS (3) ran an honest 2nd to Middlepage here last week and is a reliable beginner. Tips: 10 2 1 3 Suggested Bet: OTIS (10) to win. Race 7 JACKIE DANIELS (2) ran a close 2nd to Acharne Girl at her last start and will appreciate dropping back to her own age group and the nice draw. BRULEE (6) was a strong winner of the Diamond Classic against a very similar field at her last start and looks a major player again. FLY TO FAME (5) was held up at a crucial stage when 4th in that event and can play a part with the right run. FLAMETREE (7) finished 3rd in the Diamond Classic and should be thereabouts again. Tips: 2 6 5 7 Suggested Bet: FLY TO FAME (5) each way. Race 8 MAGNIFICENT STORM (5) crossed at the start and recorded a 1.52.9 victory here a month ago and is clearly the one to beat. MIGHTY CONQUEROR (4) is first-up here and looks the only danger to the favourite but he would have to be at his best. SANGUE REALE (1) chased hard when 2nd to MAGNIFICENT STORM (5) two starts back and will be hoping for a similar scenario here. BABYFACE ADDA (2) is likely to enjoy a soft run on the pegs and can be placed. Tips: 5 4 1 2 Suggested Bet: MAGNIFICENT STORM (5) to win. Race 9 MACHNIFICENT (8) doesn’t appear to be racing at his best but drops in class for this assignment and will be hard to hold out if they don’t go too slow up front. HIGH PRICE (12) has resumed with two 2nds and should fight out the finish again. CHERISHTHEMEMORIES (4) is back in form and will give a great sight if she can find the front. MADDYS NINO (1) has options at the start and won’t be far away. Tips: 8 12 4 1 Suggested Bet: MACHNIFICENT (8) to win. Race 10 THELITTLE MASTER (5) has been an impressive winner at his last two starts and is the one to beat despite the wide draw and likelihood of a slow tempo. THENU CAME ALONG (3) ran a quick last half when winning at his first run back from a break and will give a great sight if he can find the front. GOLDEN LODE (2) ran on nicely to finish 2nd on debut and is the best drawn of the main chances. THE MASKED CRUSADER (4) was beaten out of a place as a $1.45 favourite at his second race start but can improve tonight. Tips: 5 3 2 4 Suggested Bet: THELITTLE MASTER (5) to win. Market Market
