Harry Buchanan’s Thursday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on July 6, 2023July 6, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch NORTHAM Race 3 No. 3 Vegas City Regular customer here who is always around the mark. Been racing some tougher company and will enjoy this field today. Box is fine and his 17.59 will get it done here. Clear run all he needs to figure. Race 4 No. 1 Sammy Can Browse There is simply no excuse for this girl to lead all the way. Has the superior first split, the superior box map and the superior overall time. Small field means there is absolutely no excuse here. She should lead and that really should be it then. Race 5 No. 7 Tapis Magique Had her little visit to Cannington where she missed the start and that was that. Back to her comfort zone here at Northam where her 6.25 will cross and should lead throughout then. Only has to get the start right. Box is fine. Wins with a clean step on a huge downgrade. Race 8 No. 8 Step Back Three and No. 2 Princess Emmy The 8 was a super effort here the other day. Absolutely no luck early and pushed around badly before picking herself up and charging home. She wins here if she is left alone. Kennel going super at Northam as well. The 2 has a touch of class on these but she isn’t at her top. This could be the field she needs to get back into her best work. Save there. Race 9 No. 3 Bazinga Boy Old mate steps back up to the 500 and he isn’t out of this. He will step and show dash and he sticks on surprisingly well. Ran down Shadow Monelli here last time he was over the trip and while he needs to find a little on the clock, he won’t lay down. Race 11 No. 6 Dozer Can Browse Another who is now saving her best for this track and almost pulled off the upset over the short trip last week. Better suited here and will show up early and stick on the whole trip. Looks placed to perfection here and box won’t matter if she comes out. Top 2 player. Race 12 No. 2 Ronnie Ranger and No. 1 Rona’s Rocket The fast class here. The 2 just needs to improve her first split here on recorded times to be a player. Steps well and dashes up quickly and seems to enjoy this track. Will look to lead but will need to. The 1 will get the nice run on the fence and she is very good at taking the inside passage here. Any trouble and she will sneak along the fence and be in the finish. SANDOWN PARK Race 3 No. 4 Archman Big price and while his form doesn’t inspire, he does have ability this bloke. Can be slow early and if he can hold a fence spot behind the pace here, he will run home hard here and could hit the frame at odds. Place heavy spec for him. Race 6 No. 4 Fred Rose Very good effort behind Baby Jaycee last week at The Meadows. Has a much more lethal record here and track and trip stats outstanding. Can show pace when he steps and sticks on solidly in his races. Runs time when given room as well to find the arm. Big double figure quote for a dog with plenty of talent. EW go in this. Race 7 No. 4 Amron Dan and No. 5 Lornett Express Both these dog were superb in their McKenna heats last week. No luck at all. The 4 got pushed back and made strong ground along the fence and he will get a better run here. The 5 was an even better run. Made sustained ground in the run home to only be beaten a couple on the line and can run fast time when he gets the arm which he might here. Both solid chances in this even affair. Race 8 No. 4 Belle Violin and No. 2 Valor Bale The McKenna Memorial and a tremendous field of middle distance weapons here. We are going with one at odds here in 4. He was outstanding in his heat when getting smashed from pillar to post only to keep coming and making big run home ground. He gets a much better map here and can stun these. The 2 can come from anywhere and he too will settle forward if he steps courtesy of a good box and map. Just keeps coming in his races. Hard to hold out late. Backing the 4 EW and saving the 2.
