Harry Buchanan’s Thursday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on September 14, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch NORTHAM Race 1 No. 7 Mungo Miss This is the one. Form isn’t inspiring….forget that! This is her race. Went fast last start but simply caught in between dogs at the wrong time. Well boxed here and if she darts up again this time and finds that arm, then it’s check, mate and see you in the kennels. Huge price and therefore best bet and backing EW for the contingency. Race 4 No. 2 Venetian No luck last time and will be a very different story this time. Small field perfect and lands close this time and sustains that very good run home. Raced better dogs than this and shouldn’t miss top two here. Race 9 No. 2 Joe The Lion and No. 1 Kanji Giant This could get awfully messy. Early speed and fence-crashers across the field here. The 2 will stay out of that and wait for it to unfold. He can come on from the back and will hit the line over any trouble. The 1 can also win without leading and he just needs to hold a clear spot on the fence. Good effort last week and can win again. Race 10 No. 5 Quid Brother and No. 3 My Dream The 5 will try for the arm here. He does his best work leading and will give a sight in this. The 3 gets back and the small field works in her favour. A little disappointing last time but she’s better than that. Look for her late off a clear run. Race 11 No. 8 Zearfoss Well boxed and huge show here. Superb effort last week when placing again and will dash up out wide here to make herself a threat through the first turn. Can run time and will keep coming. EW all day. SANDOWN PARK Race 4 No. 2 Bahrose and No. 3 Heffernan Bale The 2 continues to race consistently and gets a good draw here. Will punch the fence and can hit the line hard. Runs a lot of placings so trust needed but top two player. As is the 3 who will appreciate being back at Sandown. Poleaxed twice at the Meadows and drawn to get a better run this time. Don’t dismiss. Race 5 No. 4 Kai Bale and No. 1 Quebec Bale The drop back from 600 is key for the 4. Will unleash that big middle sections up the back and hard to stop when wound up. The 1 gets a dream map and draw here. Loves the inside and has a super record off box 1. Could find the top and run a cheeky race at odds. Race 6 No. 2 Flying Butcher Huge EW show here. Great effort in the heat to come from midfield and run away from them late. That was his first run here and will take improvement from that. If he’s close, and he should be, he won’t miss the frame at a big quote. Race 8 No. 7 Misty Black Sneaky show here after a good 2nd to Zoha Bale. Good beginner who has speed and small flat spot but keeps grinding after that and can stay. Betting an EW quote and if they let her roll out in front, she could get away here. Chance. Market Market
