Harry Buchanan’s Saturday Greyhound Tips Posted on December 24, 2022March 10, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch First of all, I would like to thank all who have followed the blog this year. Hopefully we’ve found plenty of winners along the way and your support is appreciated immensely. Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and prosperous New Year as we take a break. Let’s try and find a few, one last time for this year. CANNINGTON Race 4 No. 8 Robotnik and No. 5 Makuru Two super hopes here. The 8 was huge last week and Lewis has him ready off and ideal draw. Rolls down the outside early and presents with a clear run. The 5 was equally good last week in the same race and he is a ridiculous quote. EW all day here. Gets a good map. Race 7 No. 1 Garrio and No. 5 Sweet Emily Chips in the red here. Clean step, clear run into the back, merry Xmas!! If the big fat red fella gets stuck in the chimney, finds trouble and decides to not turn up, we will have a save on the 5 who is very good and racing well for the great man Pete Brown. It’s all about the red though. Huge show, Santa is on. Race 10 No. 4 Close Contact Kennel has a great year and can see out Xmas eve with another winner here. Big drop in company and can offset middle boxes. Well drawn with what’s inside him and gets his chance. Can give Barry and Val an early gift. Race 11 No. 2 Spin The Bottle Vastly underrated and is ready to take another step if he gets the start right. Karen most likely leads but she will need to speak to more than the store manager if this bloke’s on her tail up back. His win last start was superb. Took his checks and kept on coming to descend late. Time steady but forget that. He can go MUCH better. Top-two player here. THE MEADOWS Race 1 No. 5 Hippogriff In a perfect world he steps slowly, drops to the fence and waits. Has a big middle and even bigger last section and clear running is all that required for him to hit the podium here. Great EW chance with any luck at all. Race 4 No. 4 Rock Me Rocco and No. 3 Adhana Rico A couple for the upset here. The 4 is very good and while he needs to find on his last few, he absolutely can and shouldn’t be ignored. The 3 was huge last start in a tough 500 and the step up is calling now. Both good smokies hopes. Race 6 No. 2 Adelong and No. 8 Mystify Kick Don’t be surprised if this little girl in 2 goes straight to the arm and runs these along. If she gets the lure solo, she is incredibly strong and one bats all day. The 8 would be a bird if you knew he’d stay. Speculation that he will and therefore a threat at odds. Will go fast mid race. Race 7 No. 4 Little Critter and No. 3 Wrangler Jane The 4 will look for the arm and this dog won’t be caught if he gets away here. His form is much better than it looks. Big show this time. Janey in 3 is back again at a monster quote. She will win one of these soon at any old price and this is winnable. No luck last start when flattened at box rise. Will hit the line as per usual. It’s the 4 who has our attention though. Race 8 No. 7 Piscopo Bale and No. 3 Tobin Frost Some strong dogs here to upset this fav who might get company early. The 7 was enormous in a tough race last week. Loves it here and will be hard to stop. The 3 finally back to the 500 and that’s where we will see his best now. Just not finishing off the middle trip like he once was. Both chances to hit top two here. Race 10 No. 5 Octavia Bale Resuming from a let up but shouldn’t be doubles here. Will find the fence asap and start her work from there. Can run home hard over the sprint and if she’s close, none of these will hold her out. It’s all about where she lands. Place heavy go. WENTWORTH PARK Race 1 No. 2 Palawa King Has one very serious motor this bloke. Stepped back from the staying trip to give them a drubbing over this trip last week. Small field again means they need him to find trouble or they will face the same fate if they let him run again. Race 2 No. 5 Zipping Alabama Simply super in the Xmas gift final. Charged home from the back and was closest at the finish with a head of steam. Small field suits perfectly and will again look to descend late here. Race 6 No. 5 That’ll Do Neo and No. 7 Nelly Intention You probably can’t back the 5 every again if he doesn’t win this. His best walks in but that’s why he’s a price. Can return to form here with any luck at all. The 7 is racing out of her skin lately and she will again look to run into this late. Don’t dismiss her. She’s going well. Market Market
