Harry Buchanan’s Saturday Greyhound Tips Posted on February 18, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch CANNINGTON Race 4 No. 5 Dusty Deluxe and No. 6 Coco Shimmer The Puppy Classic final. Fav looks the one at prohibitive odds but these two can hit the dais for placings at least. The 5 was big in his heat and only need a look up the back while the 6 is getting better each time and can run on well here also. Place heavy go for both. Race 5 No. 3 Raised Disappointed at Mandurah but prepared to ignore that. Didn’t go around dogs and is better suited here and off this draw. Has a proper motor and very hard to stop if gets wound up and clear room. Great EW price and can go well. Race 7 No. 2 Blackpool Bolt Airborne and was dynamite last week out of the boxes to never look like being caught. Just needs a repeat of that to have these chasing and needing 21.7s to catch him. Boxed to give another forward showing. Race 10 No. 8 Spider Venom Forget last week. Never left alone with dogs mucking around and gets a better run here to the first turn. Has a fast win to his credit and will get across with the 7 going fast. Only needs to track over and he can unleash and give these too much to hold out. WENTWORTH PARK Race 3 No. 7 Tania Keeping Small field perfect and these will have all sorts of trouble holding her out here. Versatile and runs time. She looks the one here. Race 4 No. 4 Spring Patriot Top-two player here. Vacant inside assists immensely and can land right there this week. Strong run home and can beat this fav home if he settles in front of him. Race 7 No. 5 Rothwell Chunk and No. 8 Energizer Miss Good final. The 5 is a smokie’s hope and he has won over a variety of distances. Ran on very strongly last week and only has to offset the box to be an EW hope. The 8 was superb in her heat. Tracked up the pace to split the leaders late and storm away for a strong win. Handles the outside and can figure. Race 8 No. 2 Zipping Alabama Another suited by the small field. Rails well and goes through the gears quickly up the back with her last section clearly her strongest. Only has to get the clear run to be given every chance to run over these late. THE MEADOWS Tonight, we have three heats of the Fanta Bale Super Stayers and eight heats of the Australian Cup, both at Group 1 level. Tabtouch have first 4 jackpots of $4,500 on all 11 of these races this evening. With plenty of quality and value about, we will go through every heat of both events and look at the top two runners to keep an eye on both short and at odds. Race 1 No. 7 Moraine Suzie The first standout of the night. Arguably should have won the Zoom Top and only has to step cleanly to navigate a first turn run to be the one they all have to stop. Looks ready to win now. Race 2 No. 1 Stagger Out Lee With only two dividends, she looks almost a lock to hit one of those after her Zoom Top win last week. Jumped well and got through her little flat spot quickly to then surge away late in a good effort. Relishes racing in VIC and looks set to advance to next week. Race 3 No. 8 Hippogriff and No. 4 Big Bertha The final heat for the stayers and a couple at odds here. The 8 will go a lot better this week. He missed the start and pushed out early last week and can do more this time. If he lands handier this week he will surprise. The 4 stays well and she isn’t hopeless here either. Goes well here and will keep coming to the line. Don’t ignore either. Race 4 No. 7 Storm Stroller and No. 8 Amron Dan First heat of the Australia Cup and it’s loaded with speed here. 2 and 3 faultless at box rise, 5 musters fast and the 7 rarely misses it and has a great turn of foot. He can run a race the 7 and will stay wide and get a clean run over. Sticks on well. The 8 is the strongest dog in the race and charges home when he gets the right run. Look for him late. Race 5 No. 6 Fabs Vegetable and No. 3 Kai Bale A couple more at odds here. The 6 was excellent last time and if he offsets the box he can run into this. Hits the line hard and will get a place heavy play. The 3 has that big middle section he sustains and sets him up for a dais finish. Good draw and can figure here. Race 6 No. 3 He’s No Slouch and No. 5 Elite Alex The 3 is a super EW play here. Has run some big races against quality dogs in the past and goes well here. Not as quick as his illustrious sister in Box 7 but ultra consistent and can stun here. The 5 will go very fast early and if he finds the top will take some catching. Another with a good record here and can give a sight. Race 7 No. 3 Piscopo Bale and No. 1 Indy Fido The 3 has tremendous record track and trip and is over the odds. Will get a great run with the fast beginning dog in 2 and she is strong. Don’t ignore. The 1 has his box and he too will track up here and look to tun into this up the back. Open heat and both can be in the finish. Race 8 No. 6 Amron Boy and No. 8 Fernando Mick The 6 only needs a look. These can’t hold him if he gets any luck at all. He’s good in a field though and is clearly the one to beat. The 8 will run his usual honest race. Handles the outside well and will go fast early. They should fight this out. Race 9 No. 5 Ailee Bale and No. 6 Chic These two girls can give good accounts here. The 5 dropping back from the middle trip and she will try and push up and lead. Hard to catch at odds if she does. The 6 is a good box dog usually and she too will look to go quick early. Can run good time and is consistent. Both at odds but not out of this. Race 10 No. 8 Landyn Bale and No. 5 Hebridean Black Looking for the 8 to rush down the outside here and take over. Has a blistering turn of foot and getting stronger every start. Hard to catch. The 5 will be an EW force at his top. Very strong and runs on from anywhere. Watch for him to charge into this if he’s right and gets the luck. Can hit the placings. Race 11 No. 3 Yachi Bale and No. 4 Greysynd Shock The reigning Melbourne Cup champ in 3 looks extremely hard to stop here. The easiest heat and he is well drawn and looks the one they all have to beat. Goes through the gears like no other and unstoppable when close over this trip. The 4 will run a sneaky race here. He can get wide but keeps smashing the line over the sprint trip and will look strong late here. Place heavy go for him but the 3 is main go. Market Market
