Harry Buchanan’s Saturday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on November 11, 2023November 11, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch CANNINGTON Race 1 No. 2 Ghost Emoji and No. 1 All About Coal The 2 was desperately unlucky last week in the Young Star heats. Moves to a better draw this time and will be very hard to stop with a clean step. The 1 will go better this time and he is capable off the good draw. Strong and will enjoy the fence run this box affords. Race 2 No. 3 Spider Venom and No. 7 Super Charge The 3 is a huge hope here. Boxed to get a superb run and will sit on the fence behind the pace early before getting into his work. Just needs a look up the back this time and he’s the one to hold at an each way quote. The 7 gets a drop in company and will charge home as usual. First turn luck will see him threaten late. The 3 is the bet however and each way at that to save. Race 3 No. 2 All About Stone Very good and strong win in his heat and boxed to get a similar run in this final of the Young Star. Went 29.85 which he can still find a little more on and a clear run early sees him a major threat. Each way price and a major chance. Race 6 No. 4 King Tommy The premier middle distance star and he showed why last week putting a quality field away in the Canning Show cup. Was brilliant through the middle and sustained it all the way home. Wins again with an ounce of luck. Race 7 No. 2 Pepper Grinder She needs to do something here. Dropped back in trip to have a crack at the Young Star heats but got too far out of her ground. Made solid headway home and can win this if she gets into it early. Best chance to date over this trip. Race 8 No. 7 Molfetta Cruise and No. 4 Wild Amigo The 7 was very stiff last week. Rushed up out wide but turned sideways when about to cross. If he gets over this time, he will take some stopping. The 4 is racing out of his skin. Not sure about the times in the race he was in last week but he is going well nevertheless. Has speed too so can get up there. He’s a threat. Race 9 No. 1 Sudden Rain This is her last chance unless she goes to Mandurah. Looking for the box to bring her out here and if she can lob near the arm, she will break through. First 50m decided her race. Can win and must do something here. THE MEADOWS Race 2 No. 4 Ethanol Volume Huge effort from the back last week. Made monster ground after being flattened early and pushed back. A clearer run here sees him very hard to stop. Each way player all day. Race 4 No. 1 Triumph Box stats are poor but gee he’s better than these. Just needs to navigate a passage that keeps him close and he will take all sorts of holding out from there. Race 5 No. 3 Fabs Vegetable Overcame a chequered passage to descend on them last time. Meets a similar line up and will again sit off them to start his work up the back and be strong home. Top 2 threat. Race 6 No. 1 Raiders Guide and No. 8 Rippin’ Grace The Hume Cup final. The 1 is the dog to beat after his effort last week in the heat and the draw here. Just needs to hold up early and he will be hard to stop with a lap to go. The 8 will drop over heels early and find the fence. She still didn’t look quite right in her heat but the recent kennel change means she improves again here. Will be strong home again. Race 7 No. 8 Yachi Bale Arguably should have won last week and this is even easier. Gets his chance to drop that big middle and last section he is known for and these will struggle to stop him late this time. Race 8 No. 6 Zoha Bale and No. 8 Moraine Suzie The Topgun stayers. As with both these Topguns, the fields are stacked with locals and that means both the 6 and 8 can figure. Big finishes in both dogs and should hit the frame with clear runs. The 6 will make his run first and the 8 leaves hers til late. Both have huge last sections. Race 9 No. 4 Runnin’ Dynasty and No. 2 Weblec Wolf The 4 is racing really well and gets her chance to lead here. The last little bit can test but she runs it out better on the arm. Goes fast mid race. The 2 will like being near the fence this week. Good run when returning from a let up last week and can improve again. Race 10 No. 8 Jay Is Jay The Topgun sprinters. Not a lot of interest due to the fact half these shouldn’t be there. The 8 however is a stupid price for a dog who could beat these one out. Incredibly fast dog who and scorches the clock when he’s on and it will be no different here if he gets over. $15/$3 find out is a gift. Let’s see if he can do it. Race 11 No. 8 Zipping Crusader Well boxed and a lot of these want the arm. This bloke doesn’t and he will start to descend on these up the back and keep coming. Place heavy player at least and will threaten with a clear run. Race 12 No. 6 Snowman Sneaky smokie to take us out. Want to see him step a bit better and he can give a sight if he does. No luck last week but he’s better than that and can surprise here. Small each way spec. WENTWORTH PARK Race 3 No. 3 Emgrand Centre Clumsy and makes bad choices around dogs but gets a better draw here and giving him one more go to show that 29.85 run he’s got in him. Middle and last sections big when wound up. Race 5 No. 4 Agland Luai Will enjoy the small field and has been racing the best sprinters around here and racing well. Can lead or come from just off them and will be hard to stop here this time. Race 6 No. 1 Black Wizard Last chance. Did nothing last week when never getting interested. The move to the 1 will see him get the right run and he must produce this time or no more. Map is perfect. No excuses. Race 7 No. 1 Our Mechanic Boxed to win. Racing well and can lead this time even though he showed last week he doesn’t need to. Strong dog who chases hard and gets every hope of the good draw. Market Market
