Harry Buchanan’s Saturday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on September 16, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch CANNINGTON Race 2 No. 8 Clifton Iyla and No. 4 Disco Trixie The 8 is a big roughie here. Can go better than her form shows and the draw is ok. Led early last week but laid over and got put out of it. Clearer run here and can surprise. The 4 needs 700. She is simply far too dour now but can win if they let her run early. Confidence is down and needs a win and soon. Race 3 No. 6 Tessa Nature Ran a super race last week first go at this trip. Stuck on well and will take a stack out of that. Box a little tricky but if she offsets early then she’s a chance here. EW at least for her. Race 4 No. 6 Dandalup Blazer and No. 7 Runaway To Mars The 6 will go better this time. He does have to miss the 7 early who doesn’t know if he’s a railer, mid tracker or wide runner. Will go close if he gets a clear early run. The 7 will give a sight and his race is decided in the first 50m. Racing well and just needs to get over and he can. Race 5 No. 5 Hinto What an ultra consistent competitor this bloke is. Keeps hitting the frame and does it from a mile back most starts. Will miss the start and find the fence and start his work and hits the frame again here on the place heavy basis. Race 7 No. 4 Super Charge Back in the winners list last week and can repeat the dose again. Small field suits and his map reads fine here and will again start that run of his up the back. Top two player. Race 8 No. 1 Vander Harley Finally gets a box and this is her chance. Never got into it last week off a wide draw but should hold her spot here. Strong last section and has a fast win for this grade here. If she’s close she will give this a huge shake. Big show. Race 10 No. 1 Saige Tenniele The National Sprint champ. Boxed to score. Clear run, wins!!! That’s all. Race 11 No. 4 Orokanui and No. 7 Argyle Queen The 4 is a smokie’s hope here. He gets a better map and can land within striking range here. Strong on the run home and top two play. The 7 wins if she crosses. Good stepper who is flying and is clearly the one to beat. The 4 can run a race though. Race 12 No. 5 Fearless Max The best EW bet of the night if he finds the fence early here and I think he might. Wide running inside dogs getting off and leaving him the necessary gap into the back on the fence and he works home hard from there. Frame hitter and can win with luck. THE MEADOWS Race 2 No. 6 Irish Millie and No. 3 Kadence Bale Final over the middle trip. The 6 went well in her heat and stuck on ok. Showed some pace and will improve again here. Don’t dismiss. The 3 makes a fast mid race move and sustains it. Will run into this up the back and can hit the frame with a clear last section run. Race 5 No. 6 Gary Stun On and No. 1 Serena Bale The 6 gets one last go. He isn’t racing badly and this is his chance to lead and get through that flat spot to kick away late. The 1 is well boxed and she steps ok here. Also has a slight flat spot but hits the line hard late over this trip. Can figure with mid race luck. Race 6 No. 5 Shima Stella Great run in her heat and gets a vacant inside her here. She can show up early and just needs to find a spot close up the back. Could even settle on speed and that makes her very hard to stop this time. Huge show. Race 8 No. 1 Whitely Bale and No. 7 Ailee Bale The kennel mates to show pace here and hard to catch. 1 is well boxed and her run was good a few starts back. Will go better this time. The 7 is a class dog and can cross or come from off them. Hard to hold out if she’s close as well. Race 9 No. 4 Hamblin Bale Looks a good race for him here. Can take a bit to wind up but will get a nice first turn run here and will start his run from there. Can sustain the strong run home and will be a frame hitter with a last section clear passage. Race 10 No. 3 Good Chat Wispy Looks his race. Back in form with a strong middle trip win at Sandown last time and goes even better here. Can show pace and hard to catch if he leads here with that strength late in the race to the fore. Can win from off the pace as well. Boxed well and should go close. WENTWORTH PARK Race 2 No. 4 Cawbourne Magic and No. 7 Tiger Jack Simple scenario here. These two stayers will find their feet then start a long sustained run home. Field is far from strong and they simply need to tack on and they become hard to hold out. Both great place heavy bets and strongest on the line. Race 3 No. 5 Palawa King Outstanding performance last time when slowly away but quickly recovering to give them an absolute drubbing over this trip. Dropped a devastating turn of foot up the back and was simply impossibly to hold out in the run home. Same applies here. He is going that well. Hits top 2 but can win. Race 6 No. 8 Zippy Tesla Former gun Victorian who is preparing for the feature Masters races. Has a booming middle and last section and has experience here as well. Only needs a look and he will take an enormous amount of holding out. Big show. Market Market
