Harry Buchanan’s Monday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on September 11, 2023September 11, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch NORTHAM Race 2 No. 4 Celestial Gas Good last week at her first look here. Time wasn’t flash but this isn’t hard and natural improvement will see her figure in the finish with a clear run which she can get here. Race 3 No. 4 Shoe Shine Jo Stepped well last week but caught up between runners at the first turn when having his momentum clipped. Stuck on ok and meets a similar line up here. Goes Weill this circuit and gets another solid chance to hit the frame. Race 5 No. 1 West On Jilliby Small field for the stayers. The 1 can hit top 2 here and with a bit of speed on this early, she could get over these if she stays close up the back. Yet to miss the frame from 3 goes track and trip and will look ominous late. Race 6 No. 2 Sassy Blade What a gem she is the mighty Sass. She’s no star but she loves it here and again launched home from the back when placing last week. Pushed wide first turn before going through the gears to hit 3rd. First turn determines everything for her as she starts her run directly after. Won’t matter who she is chasing as long as she is close up the back. None of these will hold her out. Place heavy at least and just needs first turn luck and the best bet to hit the frame. Race 7 No. 5 Rona’s Rocket and No. 8 Entry Level The 5 is very well graded here and can win with a little room to the first turn. Has raced better dogs and the box the only issue. The 8 will muster up here out wide and if he crosses before first turn, he will take a lot of catching. EW play for him. Race 9 No. 4 Starlight Gina Can do something here. Her form doesn’t inspire and while she was put out of business last time around here, she is better than that and can improve this time. Vacant inside ideal and will keep coming, especially if she lands close which she can this time. Top two player. Race 11 No. 1 Carlecatup and No. 5 Sand Patch The 1 leads here. Just a matter of holding them out before the first turn and she can go all the way from there. Racing superbly. The 5 is a very fast dog and the box is the key for her. She can step and when she does, she goes very fast and runs serious time. Huge danger with clear running. Race 12 No. 1 Athena Girl One more chance off the inside box. Couldn’t get over last week off the outside and has good early dash to take advantage of the draw. She’s hard to catch when she gets a solo arm around the first turn and that’s all she needs here to be a big threat. Market Market
