Harry Buchanan’s Monday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on August 14, 2023August 14, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch NORTHAM Race 2 No. 2 Victim Of Desire Walked out last week and that was her race done even though she recovered to place. Can step much better and gets a better draw as well. A clean getaway and the arm and she bounces back Race 3 No. 7 Dawn Of Time and No. 6 Dandalup Ringo Looking for our lady May Leech to go on with a few here. The 7 is ready to win. No luck in the middle last week probing for a run that just wasn’t there. Can muster up here out wide and go close. Big drop in company for the 6 coming from Cannington. Form isn’t great but this markedly easier. Can improve. Race 4 No. 5 Apollo Fun I know and yes, I also remember what was said last week. I just have this feeling his last chance was offered up a week early. Upon watching the replay, he had some excuses and while I expected more, he did show that he is capable of making ground at this track. Ok he’s the best dog and he may not like it here, I’m sure he doesn’t. Yet the trainer is persisting therefore so will we one more time. I just don’t know what to offer up if he goes down here. He’s exhausted them all. Steps and wins. Doesn’t step, and we know the score from there. Race 5 No. 2 Row Keeping and No. 1 Kingsbrae Huxley The 2 showed some of his better work last week and straight back to Northam is a plus. Box is too. Can show speed when he hops out and will take some stopping this time. The danger is in 1. Gets his box now and we will see a different dog this time. Musters up quickly and sustains a strong run home. Both these dogs can figure. Race 6 No. 1 Warm Regards Unless she trips over herself, I don’t see where or how they stop her. She is simply much better than this field. She’s a $1.30 shot on a 104% market so it’s either or at the moment. Should use the box to just get it done here and can prop up a multi or two along the way Race 7 No. 8 Nino Tonic and No. 5 Entry Level The 8 gets a good draw here. He has speed and can rush down the outside to land right there or cross with a few fence cutters in this. Gets his chance now. The 5 will come on from the back again and he’s priced to play place heavy. Doesn’t need the arm and this is easier than his last few. Look for him late. Race 8 No. 1 Step Back Three Thought she would be shorter here considering the box gives her a real show. This much more suitable than her last few and she can show speed and stick on over this trip. Gets a good map and could give a sight here to 2 at the good odds. Don’t ignore her. Race 9 No. 8 Eclipsing Fun and No. 3 Barossa Rose The 8 gets a gun map here. Rolls down the outside and gets every hope to sit where she wants to be and only has to repeat last start to figure in the frame. The 3 has been disrespected in the market here. Her win was good last week and she will get a fence run at the first turn which she knows how to take. Watch for her to get through and be a force in the run home. Race 11 No. 2 Something Fun This is his race. Gets every hope to lead this time and forge through that little flat spot up the back to bring a strong last section to the table here. A race that lacks any real strength, there are no excuses this time. A good show to hit top 2. Race 12 No. 6 Extremely Smooth His last two has met with traffic at the first turn and no luck and while he needs some here, it looks like it could happen. Needs that be first turn gap to appear but we have dogs boxed on the wrong side of the track so he needs to mind his business and stay out of that early battle. Can run home into the frame at odds.
