Harry Buchanan’s Friday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on December 29, 2023December 29, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch MANDURAH Race 1 No. 6 Sunset Bubbles Continues to nail the start with impeccable box manners and early speed. Will go fast again out wide and the two outside her shouldn’t bother her early. Just needs to sweep around quickly and she’s a threat here. Race 3 No. 5 All Grunt and No. 6 Westdale Opal The 5 takes a bit to get into his work but he goes through his gears well once he’s wound up. If he can get a look turning, he’s a chance to hit the frame here at odds. As is the 6 who weakens over the 488m last time. Box tricky but she is better suited to this distance and can surprise, especially late. Race 4 No. 8 Quest For Power and No. 6 Moment For Life The 8 is a huge show here. Has a lovely turn of foot and can handle a wide draw. Will dart up quickly after lids up and give a big sight. The 6 might surprise if she finds the arm. Steps well but needs to lead and a snap start the only hope of doing that. Can be hard to catch if she does hold the front. The 8 the key play here however. Race 5 No. 3 Aussie Singman and No. 8 Miss Vivas The 3 could give these fright here. Better draw this time and he went super form the back last week making good ground in a tough race. Place heavy spec at odds. The 8 has her box and she goes fast early. She should be able to find the top here and get away up the back. It’s the last bit that will test her. Could have enough in hand however. Race 7 No. 1 Panadero Thunder and No. 7 Tweak Freak The 1 gets a gun map here to upset this fav. Has a dazzling turn of foot for the first 80m and will get all the room to use it. Boxes to shake the life out of this. The 7 was superb resuming last week and will again spear over and put herself in this. She keeps coming and is a smokies play each way. Race 8 No. 6 Start Up Ando and No. 4 Grass Patch The 6 has been racing the good sprinters and while this is a handy race, he can give something here. Well drawn and can capitalise on inside trouble. The 4 is enigmatic but good. She needs to be there before they hit the first turn and she showed last start what she can do when that happens. A repeat puts her in the firing line throughout. Race 9 No. 4 Bang and No. 5 Indy Go Ruby Last chance for old mate in 4. Lead or bust here. Not a single excuse to not cross the dogs inside him here and that should give him every hope to hold the arm. No more if he doesn’t. The 5 will go better in this. Has been around the mark and will look to present turning again and she is strong late over this trip. Don’t ignore here. Race 10 No. 8 Sozin’s Azzuri and No. 1 Our Aim The 8 will nail the start one day and this could be that day. Is going ok without leading and winning and is a much more formidable commodity when on the arm. That’s all you’re betting on here. The 1 well boxed to get every hope here and he gets the save. Race 11 No. 5 Alden Monelli and No. 1 All Over Kora The 5 is racing better than ever and will be suited to this trip if he can show that good early speed he has lately. Sticks on doggedly and can hit the frame here. The 1 has yet to show her best over this trip but this is her chance now. Been stepping well and if she holds up early she will be in the finish at a price. Each way for her. Race 12 No. 6 West On Muffin and No. 8 Kingshott The 6 the best smokie of the night. Has a little flat spot mid race but if she can get through that and be close, she will drop hard on these in the run home at each way odds. Good bet place heavy at least. The 8 can surprise as well. Been performing well over the shorter trip but just as adept over this distance as well and can be there late with a little luck. Market Market
