Warren Huntly’s Saturday Moonee Valley Preview Posted on December 29, 2023December 29, 2023 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 Plenty to learn. JENNI’S MEADOW would be my pick of the debutants but all have shown talent. I’M KENOUGH chased a smart one on debut and should appreciate 1200m. IN HER EYES appeared to travel well in a recent jumpout behind Jenni’s Meadow. LADY GIMLET has been jumping out well and looks to have some early speed. Selections: 7,1,6,8 Suggested Bet: Happy to look and learn Race 2 A LITTLE DEEP may have found it too wet at Ballarat. She’ll strip fitter and back on firm ground looks hard to beat. BERRY BUBBLY races well here and has been kept up to the mark with a tick over jumpout between runs. KUSINI is building a handy record, she won well second up and will make her own luck. HISSY FIT pulled up with a slow recovery when well supported first up. Selections: 2,1,6,7 Suggested Bet: A Little Deep to win Race 3 AFTER THE IMPACT has been somewhat of a revelation in the restricted staying ranks of late. He meets FEARENTLESS three kilos worse at the weights but hard to see that turning the tables. SAN REMO had excuses last time and isn’t badly treated after the claim. DUHLATTA was held up badly here last start and is racing as through 3000m will be ok. CALL ME VEXATIOUS brings winning form across the border and backs up quickly. Selections: 3,5,2,7 Suggested Bet: After The Impact to win Race 4 Even race. IMAPAGETHREEGIRL is sure to improve back on firmer ground third up and maps for a good run. MOTOMAN won his maiden in good style last start, he’ll make his own luck and looks progressive. BOMBASTIC BOY hasn’t had much luck of late and was well supported last time. INTREPID EAGLE was well backed first up and may have peaked on his run. MILLIONDOLLARMUMMA, HUMMING and EXCEED THE DREAM are others with claims in a deep race. Selections: 9,11,1,4 Suggested Bet: Imapagethree Girl each way Race 5 INDEPENDENT ROAD has returned in great form and will strip even fitter third up. DUNKEL has to carry the big weight but has jumped out well between runs and will appreciate the rise in distance. TYCOON BEC was only narrowly defeated by Independent Road last start and has obvious claims. MONBAHER is a progressive stayer that has jumped out ok to resume at a suitable trip. Selections: 5,1,7,4 Suggested Bet: Independent Road to win Race 6 SPACE TRACKER looks a big improver back on firm ground second up. PIAGGIO was well ridden to control the race second up but will strip even fitter. REAL SENSATION showed a glimpse of his early talent when testing a progressive horse last week and races well here. CONVENER has been a touch frustrating but drops in grade with blinkers back on. Selections: 4,6,9,2 Suggested Bet: Space Tracker each way Race 7 ZAMBORGHINI won impressively over a slightly shorter trip here last start and looks hard to beat again. MONTATHER is hard fit, he’ll make his own luck and Piaggio will have provided a guide on his latest form in the previous race. RAETIHI is unbeaten here and backs up from an all the way win here last week. ROYAL HARD HAT had jumped out well going into his first up run and is a likely improver stepping up to 1600m second up. Selections: 1,3,5,4 Suggested Bet: 1,3,5,4 for the Quaddie Same Race Multi: Zamborghini (Top 2) + Montather (Top 4) Race 8 DIVINE PURPOSE probably found it too wet at Ballarat and should appreciate steeping up to 2040m third up. KIPYEGON had no luck behind the in-form MISS TARZY last start and both have claims. STARSPANGLED BABY backs up from a narrow defeat last week and will make her own luck. GALILAEUS has trialled well for his local debut and gets blinkers and a tongue tie. DEEL BLASTER and DUBLIN JOURNAL are in the mix in a wide quaddie leg. Selections: 11,14,4,12 Suggested Bet: Divine Purpose each way Race 9 PEACE TREATY looks progressive and overcame difficulties to win last start. She has to transfer her impressive wet track form to a good track but no knock on her on firm ground yet. FLYING MEAN is still a maiden but has run well in two strong maidens to date and shapes as a strong danger. JAKIVY has also been coming through strong maidens and hit the line strongly last start. TORLAAH has jumped out well since his debut victory and will make his own luck. Selections: 6,2,4,3 Suggested Bet: Peace Treaty to win Race 10 JUNGLE JIM will strip fitter third up and should give a great sight riding the speed. KIN chased well over 1200m last time and with any luck from the draw looks a strong winning hope. PINK BEAU TY is racing in career best for and maps for a soft run. HOLLY LOLLY backs up from a solid win here last week and has the speed to offset the wide draw. ALONG THE RIVER races well here and maps for a good run on speed. Selections: 2,6,12,9 Suggested Bet: Jungle Jim each way Market Market
