Harry Buchanan’s Friday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on September 1, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch CANNINGTON Race 2 No. 5 Mad Steel Should have won last week. Poleaxed first turn and when about to lead. Gets a better map this time and only needs to repeat last week to go close this time Race 4 No. 2 Silly Old Bear Better draw this time. Had super record off this box and will go fast here to try and land forward and can run his low 16 to go close. Good map to do so and is a play at the odds. Race 5 No. 8 Agent Eleven and No. 3 Whiskey On Rocks The 8 missed it last week which isn’t like her. She can spear out and when she leads over this trip she usually wins. Some speed in this so needs to be on but can cause these trouble. The race sets up for the 3s run on style. She showed last week how well she has come back with a strong win and can repeat the effort here. Race 6 No. 5 Zinc Monster run from last in a fair race last week. Weaved through field and only went down by 2L on the line for 2nd. Steps better this time and he wins. He’s ready. Box his only issue but can offset. Race 8 No. 1 Wild Ollie and No. 8 Ultimate Command The 1 will almost hold up here and he’s racing so well that he will be hard to catch if he leads this field. Well boxed and will go fast to set this up. The 8 will stay out wide and run into it up the back and he can hit the line as well. Save EW there and he’s racing superbly at the present. Race 9 No. 1 Bang and No. 7 Kingshott Don’t be surprised to see the 1 muster up and hold these out. Does his best work on the arm and this is his chance. Can figure. As can the 7 who is versatile and can lead or come from back. Racing well and will be suited by the small field and lack of last section dogs. Race 11 No. 7 Westdale Fury Good run last week behind a smart one and can go close this time. Can handle the box and will be aided by the speed inside cutting down. Can run into up the back if he gets an early spot and be hard to hold out 4th run back here. Race 12 No. 7 Finloch Shadows and No. 8 Danny Heffernan The 7 will try and lead here. Good record of the box and super record track and trip. Will prove hard to mow down if he leads. The 8 will get dragged into this and while he’s not a corner start dog, he gets his chance with room to operate this time and he’s a fast dog. Major threat. Market Market
