Harry Buchanan’s Friday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on August 25, 2023August 25, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch CANNINGTON Race 1 No. 5 Mad Steel and No. 4 Dance The Limbo The 5 only needs to step here and he’s on. Good run last week and close to being ready now. Box only issue but can offset. Big show. The 4 will show speed if she steps too and will look for the fence. Sustains the run and can drop some time to get it done on the arm. The 5 the bet though and save 4. Race 2 No. 6 Hello I’m Kit Slow starts costly but not alot of pace in this out wide so might be able to punch up earlier here. Knows how to hit the line and weave her way through a field and similar offering is on here at double figures. Place heavy player. Race 3 No. 4 Zinc and No. 2 My Maddy The 4 was a big run last week and moved to a closer to the fence map here. Needs to find his old step but if he does and gets there sooner, these will struggle to hold him out. The 2 the clear danger and repeat of her run behind Danny Heffernan last week will see her a major threat. Play the 4 EW and save the 2. Race 4 No. 5 Mungo Kurt First go over the short trip and a straight start will suit his steady step and muster style. If he can push through to a forward slot first turn, he will take some holding out here and is a big price to find out. Will show something with a clear run. Race 5 No. 5 Danny Heffernan and No. 8 Miss Condaleeza Strange market this. The 5 should be fav. The other fav in 1 is awfully drawn and Danny has that turn of foot early and vacant outside him. Just needs to hold the 7 out early. Will be hard to beat if he repeats his win last week. The 8 will get carted right over here and don’t be stunned if she swept around and took off. Much better outside dogs and can surprise now. Race 6 No. 2 Kanji Giant This is his best chance to break through since arriving from VIC. Will push up behind the red early and can drop some good sections when he’s on and he should be here. Won’t get a better map to break through and a top two player here at least. Race 7 No. 3 Robotnik and No. 4 Wild Ollie Spec play the 3 EW here. Needs to hold a position into the back with a cleaner step and his run last week was superb. He could run a race here at a huge quote. Don’t be surprised to see Ollie in 4 lead again and back up his win from last week. Hard to catch when he sneaks away and will look to do so with his regular good start. Race 8 No. 7 Raised and No. 5 Clifton Matilda If the 7 runs the trip easily, and he gives every indication he should, he only has to get around the turns which are his nemesis and he can smack these. Has a ridiculous motor when given straight track room and will cut loose up the back here. Can win. The 5 gets one more go to lead and give a sight on the arm. She is much better than what she gave last week and can stun if she gets away early with a lap to go. Don’t ignore her EW. Race 9 No. 2 Ice King and No. 6 Cool Myra A couple of specs here on some old mates. The 2 can shock these. He’s drawn to hop out and go quick and he won’t let anything past him without that dog paying a toll first. He’s a good honest front runner. The 6 is also a speed dog who goes up fast out wide here. She could also sneak away and her 21.8 would get it done if she leads clearly. Both big quotes but can figure EW at least. Race 11 No. 8 Agent Eleven The smokie of the night. Look for her to whip around here off a snap step and if she is able to get the arm solo, it’s check and mate and see you later. Almost led off the same box last week but wide runners took care of her into the back. Gets a better run here and silly price. Race 12 No. 1 Close Contact Last chance. He’s shying away from dogs at the moment so the box allows him to step and pick up early and lead or track the kennel mate. Can do something from there and if he doesn’t then he gets a rest for a while until he sorts himself out. Box is his chance. Must use it. Small EW go to round us out. Market Market
