Harry Buchanan’s Daily Greyhound Tips Posted on May 2, 2022 | Posted by TABtouch Today we resume racing at Northam after a few years. A unique track that we will approach with some caution while us as punters, and the dogs themselves get a handle on the resumption of racing here after a few years. Some have trialled here, some have not. Looking forward to getting involved and it’s a great track to have a bet at as we will find some dogs will really enjoy racing here. NORTHAM Race 3 No. 4 Westrock Outlaw and No. 6 Garrio A versatile customer who will handle the track. More importantly he will get the distance which has to be a gigantic question mark over the 8 who will lead this on his ear but is a short courser these days. The 4 only has to stay out of trouble to go through the gears. The 6 is another who will be looking to get this distance but at least he indicates it’s possible with some of his 400m run homes. 4 main go and 6 a small spec if he’s odds. Race 5 No. 1 Zipping Jade She has her box, she has likely had a look here with her kennel mates and looks set to run a race here. Not a deep event by any means and only has to produce her best form and have no issues with the track to win this easily. No pace outside her. Every chance. Race 10 No. 5 Fawn Roller There is no Roll Out at Northam today and that means this bloke gets his opportunity to bounce back into the winners list. Shouldn’t miss a place at the very least. Weaves his way through a field powerfully once balanced over this short course distance and will be very hard to hold out with no trouble in the run. Race 11 No. 2 Bad Desire Simply a matter of staying close enough to run over these. Boxed right where he wants to be, he only has to drive up the fence to the first turn to stay within range. He will then cut loose with a big run home. Can be a little awkward but is right up to this lot. EW player here. ANGLE PARK Race 1 No. 5 On the Tequila and No. 8 Waylin Bale The 5 finally steps up in trip. Her box manners have let her down lately but this corner start and the fact she can find the top if she steps cleanly enough, means she will be very hard to stop. The 8 ran a great race last time and a repeat will see him in the finish here. Only has to offset the wide draw which he can do. 5 main play and save 8. Race 3 No. 2 Weblec Pearl and No. 8 Jax Cade The 2 was super last week and didn’t get a lot of clear running until late. Mapped to get a gun run here and will be very hard to stop tonight. The 8 is a smokie. Freshened up since his last start failure over the 530m, he can surprise here with a clean start. Will dash up out wide and is not out of this at odds. 2 main go and small EW save on 8. Race 4 No. 8 He’s On Fire and No. 7 Mo Slater He got it done with his ridiculous box manners last week and we will bank on him repeating the dose tonight in the final. Exploded out as usual and put 6 on them in the first 30m. Will do so again and he is getting stronger each time. The thing is, while he’s out in front untouched, the rest have to get their spots to go out after him. He will have had enough turning for home but we know where he will be. If he is run down, he should still place and that makes him an EW bird and best bet. Have a smokie save on 7 at monstrous odds. She might be the first dog behind him with her quick early toe and she is also getting stronger. She could get into the money if they muck around behind her and the 8. Race 5 No. 6 Shuffle the Deck and No. 7 All Show If the 7 can step and show some of his old dash, he can shake the life out of this at a price. It’s a matter of holding a forward spot out wide. Distance the only thing against him but is better than these if he’s close. Don’t discount the 6. He can muster up here and put himself in the race quickly. No luck last time after stepping well and usually comes out with purpose. Placed here previously and a silly quote. Race 8 No. 6 Off Switch and No. 3 Sentinal Mclaren Couple at odds here. Could be messy with a few fence crashers. The 6 was good his last few and he can show up here. Getting stronger and will give a sight if he lands near the arm which he should with a good step. The 3 will get back but he will start his run up the back and some of these will be suspect at the trip if they don’t get clear running. He can pick them off as he charges home. Small EW specs on both runners. Race 9 No. 1 Two Hands George and No. 2 Weblec Whirl The 2 disappointed last time but back to the 530m will see the best of her. Should land prominent and be hard to stop from there. Runs time when she gets it right. The 1 will run his usual honest race and has a lethal record off box 1. Rarely misses the podium off the inside and will be strong throughout. Both will be hard to beat. Race 10 No. 4 Abernathy Looks his race for mine and only has to show his pace and land handy here. Has raced with little luck lately and the step back to the 530m here will bring him right into it. Has good all round sections, strong late and if he finds the top at any stage, it’s over. Best bet #2 Market Market
