Trent’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on January 20, 2017 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1: TABTOUCH 3YO FILLIES MS PACE MACZAFFAIR (6) resumed from a spell with a good win over Wesley when he raced behind that pacer and used the sprint lane to nab him near the line. She then finished 4th in strong company behind Im Rockaria and will appreciate the drop back to her own sex here. SARAH GOODY (5) has come back in great order, winning five of her six starts and can use her blistering gate speed to offset the rise in class. LADY LUCA (3) is always around the place and is a winning chance, while SUSIES DESIRE (1) is hard to line up but must be respected. Tips: 6 5 3 1 Suggested Bet: MACZAFFAIR (6) to win. Race 2: RETRAVISION WESTBRED MS PACE MACHRIHANISH (4) was a good 6th behind Mister Daytona before having the race run to suit and finishing strongly in quick time last start. He can be driven aggressively in this field and should give a big sight. ARGYLE RED (6) is one-dimensional in that he has to be driven sit sprint but he will be charging home if they go hard early. MAX MERIDIUS (1) hasn’t had much luck with the draws lately and should be a big improver here. MAJOR RUSH (2) is better known as a stand horse but is racing well and must be considered. Tips: 4 6 1 2 Suggested Bet: MACHRIHANISH (4) to win. Race 3: CHOICES FLOORING MS PACE SOHO CHELSEA (5) has had tough runs and finished near the rear in stronger company at his last two starts. He will appreciate the easier field and sprint trip and can bounce back. KING LEBRON (9) is a lot better suited racing near the pegs but is the other class runner in this field and must be respected. ELISEOS FALCON (1) has only been placed once in his last nine starts but has gate speed and could be a big improver. TRUSTYTREV (3) is always about the place and is nicely drawn. Tips: 5 9 1 3 Suggested Bet: SOHO CHELSEA (5) to win. Race 4: PRINCI BUTCHERS FILLIES AND MARES MS PACE BETTOR BE SUPREME (7) has won her last three in brilliant fashion, including an all the way win last start in quick time. She is drawn wide but can still settle in front of her main rivals and is the one to beat again. CHEVRONS CHAMPION (6) is back to her best, winning her last three on end and is ready for the rise in class. JUNGLE JEWEL (5) has been chasing home BETTOR BE SUPREME (7) recently and will be hoping for a fast early tempo. BETTORS GEM (8) was an impressive last start winner but will find it harder from out here. Tips: 7 6 5 8 Suggested Bet: BETTOR BE SUPREME (7) to win. Race 5: WESTRAL IM THEMIGHTYQUINN QUALIFYING HEAT 3 JAMES GALLEON (2) has finished near the rear at his first two runs back from a spell but hasn’t had much luck in either start and is drawn perfectly here. CHAR DO NEIGH (10) has been racing in the Nights Of Thunder series and will appreciate the drop in class here. THREE BLIND MICE (5) couldn’t get into the race last start but is likely to press forward tonight. OHOKA DARCY (9) has been impressive in two Albany wins but will find this harder from out here. Tips: 2 10 5 9 Suggested Bet: JAMES GALLEON (2) to win. Race 6: RAY DUFFY MEMORIAL MS PACE FLAMING FLUTTER (5) hasn’t won a race in his last 18 starts but is working up to a victory and gets his chance tonight. He fought on well from the breeze when 2nd to Ideal Alice and he looks the one to beat tonight. DAVID HERCULES (10) ran 3rd in the same event and is getting his race fitness back. LISHARRY (11) is in career best form and can run a race at good odds. BUNGALOW BILL (4) disappointed first up but should improve. Tips: 5 10 11 4 Suggested Bet: FLAMING FLUTTER (5) to win. SuperPick - Race 6 No. 5 FLAMING FLUTTER - Money Back – Run 2nd Race 7: WESTSIDE AUTO WHOLESALE MS PACE THE STORM CHIEF (11) has been racing very consistently, running on from the rear for a close 2nd to Estocada before leading throughout at Northam. He has a nice trailing draw and will be charging home. BETTOR NOT KNOWING (1) ran a great race when he led three starts back and may get his chance to do that again. ALFA QUEEN (3) sped to the front and won in 1.55.0 recently and would be extremely hard to beat if she found the top. OHOKA KENTUCKY (6) is racing well and would love an early speed battle to improve his chances. Tips: 11 1 3 6 Suggested Bet: THE STORM CHIEF (11) each way. Race 8: SLATER GARTRELL MS PACE ULTIMATE MAJOR (4) has been racing consistently and led throughout to win at Albany two starts back. He is drawn inside his main rival and should give a big sight. GAZ WANNABET (5) won two in a row in impressive fashion before running into trouble last start and is the obvious danger. STRAIGHT THRU BLUE (10) was a great 2nd to Ideal Tyson on Monday and should be in the finish if he has luck from this draw. STRAITOTHEHILTON (3) is nicely drawn and should be thereabouts. Tips: 4 5 10 3 Suggested Bet: ULTIMATE MAJOR (4) to win. Race 9: SULLY’S PAINTING MS PACE MANTOMAN (4) wasn’t that far away last start in an event won by Mister Daytona and that is a good form line for this. BIG BEN LOMBO (1) hasn’t won a race for over two years and is first up from 12 months away from the track but would be hard to beat if anywhere near his best. LEFTRIGHTGOODNIGHT (5) will appreciate a drop in class but doesn’t win too often. R J BOPPER (10) is drawn to get a soft run and can be in the money. Tips: 4 1 5 10 Suggested Bet: MANTOMAN (4) to win. Race 10: CLIPSAL BY SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC MS PACE SOHO WALL STREET (9) found the front and held off The Trilogy two starts back before finishing a distant 3rd behind a smart pair last week. He is drawn poorly tonight but looks the class runner of the field. LIFES A JOURNEY (2) worked hard when a strong 2nd last start and should get a better trip from this draw. STRAITTOTHEBAR (1) was a nice 3rd at his last run and should play a part from the pole. HOT FRATERNITY (11) has been racing in stronger company and will appreciate the drop in class. Tips: 9 2 1 11 Suggested Bet: SOHO WALL STREET (9) to win. Bet Now
