Trent’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on February 8, 2018 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1: TABTOUCH MS PACE OVERBOARD AGAIN (2) raced well in good company last campaign and impressed at his return when running on strongly from the rear to finish 3rd to Machiatto. He is better drawn tonight and looks hard to beat. REAL LUCKY (3) brought up his third win from his last four starts last week and is a big chance again. IMA ROCKNROLL LEGEND (7) made the most of a better barrier when an impressive winner last week but is drawn wide here. DON’T WANADIE (1) looks a place chance at odds from the pole. Tips: 2 3 7 1 Suggested Bet: OVERBOARD AGAIN (2) to win. SuperPick - Race 1 no. 2 OVERBOARD AGAIN - Money Back Race 2: WESTRAL MARES MS PACE RED HOT ROXY (3) hasn’t missed a place in eight starts this campaign, including four wins. She was a comfortable all the way winner two starts back before starting from a wide barrier when a close 3rd to THE SPINSTER (5) and will appreciate the better draw tonight. ALKIRAS DESIRE (12) ran on to score an impressive victory here last week and will be dangerous if she gets the right cart into the race. THE SPINSTER (5) must be considered after her last start win. OUR JEREMES GEM (1) can improve from the pole. Tips: 3 12 5 1 Suggested Bet: RED HOT ROXY (3) to win. Race 3: CHOICES FLOORING MS PACE JAMES GALLEON (5) finished 3rd to Dana Duke in 1.55.8 before leading from this draw and finishing 2nd to Change Of Address. He meets a field of mainly out of form pacers and won’t get a better chance to break back into the winners’ circle. MAXIMUM DEMAND (10) is better known as a standing start specialist but will get a nice run on the pegs and can be dangerous. MIGHTY FLYING THOMAS (12) has been racing in stronger company and can improve. GO WEST U TERROR (8) hasn’t started for almost two years but is the best horse. Tips: 5 10 12 8 Suggested Bet: JAMES GALLEON (5) to win. Race 4: CHINESE NEW YEAR FIREWORKS NIGHT FRIDAY 23RD FEB MS PACE BETTORS FIRE (1) led throughout to beat Soho Tribeca and Chicago Bull in 1.52.6 four starts back and gets his chance to lead throughout tonight. NORVIC NIGHTOWL (2) has been placed at three of his last four and has the draw to be right in the finish again. HEEZ ON FIRE (3) resumes from a break and has the high speed to be dangerous from this barrier. OHOKA PUNTER (4) chased Chicago Bull home last week but isn’t as well drawn tonight. Tips: 1 2 3 4 Suggested Bet: BETTORS FIRE (1) to win. Race 5: DAINTYS DAUGHTER 3YO FILLIES MS PACE LADY DE LA RENTA (5) faced the breeze when a close 2nd to SLICK ARTIST (11) two starts back before making the most of the favourite’s mistake when beating the boys last week. She is inexperienced but has a big motor and should be thereabouts. COTT BEACH (9) has won 10 of her 17 starts and will be hard to beat again, particularly if she crosses at the start. MISS SANGRIAL (6) has won her last three and is proven in this class. INFINITE SYMBOL (1) was a good all the way winner from this draw recently and must be considered. Tips: 5 9 6 1 Suggested Bet: LADY DE LA RENTA (5) each way. Race 6: TROTSYND – THE CHEAPEST AND EASIEST WAY TO OWN A HORSE MS PACE RUNRUNJIMMYDUNN (8) defeated Major Stare in 1.55.8 two starts back before facing the breeze when a close 2nd to Better B Chevron. He is the class runner of this field and should overcome the wide draw. CHUCK NORRIS (2) was a close 2nd here last week and is now back in form. MAXENTIUS (5) was a strong winner three starts back and has blinkers added after two sub-par performances. HINDU KUMARA (10) is drawn to get a soft run and can be in the money. Tips: 8 2 5 10 Suggested Bet: RUNRUNJIMMYDUNN (8) to win. Race 7: OWNERS ONLY MS PACE ARTHUR LOWE (9) has impressed in winning his three WA starts and should be able to overcome the wide draw. RIGHTEOUS BROTHER (8) has resumed from a spell with a win and 2nd against easier company and is ready for the rise in class. BAYLAN JETT (7) suffered an atrial fibrillation on New Years Eve but has trialled nicely for his return. RAFFAELLO (5) has been racing consistently and does a have a barrier advantage over his main rivals. Tips: 9 8 7 5 Suggested Bet: ARTHUR LOWE (9) to win. Race 8: PRINCI BUTCHERS HANDICAP SS PACE MAJOR CATASTROPHE (1) has been placed at four of his last five including a close 2nd to Tas Man Bromac in the Northam Cup on Saturday. He is likely to be crossed at the start but has the strength to breeze and prove hard to beat. ASSASSINATOR (7) ran on strongly to finish a 1.9m 4th in the same race and is suited by the small field. ALWAYS ARJAY (3) was held up and less than 7m from the winner in that event and will appreciate the front line tonight. ANOTHER AYJAY (2) is a reliable beginner and looks a great place chance. Tips: 1 7 3 2 Suggested Bet: MAJOR CATASTROPHE (1) to win. Race 9: GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND MS PACE NEW WORLD ORDER (7) extended his losing sequence to 16 when he broke after the start and trailed the field at Northam. He finds ways to get beaten but looks suited by the small field and a drop in class. BROTHA OFA GANGSTA (6) has faced the breeze to win two of his last three starts and looks the main danger. DESTINED TO RULE (3) ran on nicely to finish just behind the placegetters last start and should be thereabouts. IDEAL INVESTMENT (1) is drawn to get a lovely run and can be in the money. Tips: 7 6 3 1 Suggested Bet: NEW WORLD ORDER (7) to win. Race 10:BOOK INTO THE BEAU RIVAGE AT GLOUCESTER PARK THE LEWIS QUALIFYING HEAT 2 MARES MS PACE MON LILLIES (1) has led throughout to win two of her last three starts and looks the leader here. She probably doesn’t have the class of her two main rivals but should give a great sight. MADAME MEILLAND (3) ran on strongly to finish 3rd to BETTER B CHEVRON (6) last start and is better drawn tonight. BETTER B CHEVRON (6) has impressed with consecutive all the way victories at her last two starts but is drawn wide here. AUCTIONEERS ELSU (2) will get a nice run on the pace and won’t be far away. Tips: 1 3 6 2 Suggested Bet: MON LILLIES (1) to win. Bet Now
