Chris’ Eagle Farm Preview Posted on September 2, 2016September 5, 2016 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Preview RACE 3 No. 5 Fire Within Trained out at Gympie nowadays after formerly being with the Liam Birchley yard this consistent gelding looks close to another victory. A winner at Doomben three starts back he’s placed his last couple both here in the soft going which again will be the ground we race on tomorrow (could even be worse with rain forecast in the morning). Nicely weighted after the claim and suited up to the 1400m trip. RACE 7 No. 8 Mr Epic One from the in-form Toby Edmonds stable on the Gold Coast who is racing very consistently this campaign. Led all the way to score in a Class 6 here a fortnight back lumping 57kg, although up to Open grade tomorrow he’s well up to it and will carry only 54kg. With a lack of speed in the race he’ll again go forward and will prove very hard to get by in the straight. RACE 8 No. 2 Irish Constabulary Yet another consistent performer who has only put in one below par performance this campaign however he did have excuses on that occasion at the Sunshine Coast. Freshened up his subsequent two starts have been good and he looks well suited up to the 1200m trip tomorrow. Expect him to return to the winners circle.
