Deane Lester’s Caulfield Best Bets Posted on May 29, 2020May 29, 2020 | Posted by Deane Lester RACE 4 NO.4 RIGHT YOU ARE RIGHT YOU ARE is a progressive type from the Mick Price/ Michael Kent Jnr stable that should continue on his winning way when he contests the Three Year Old Handicap (1600m). The son of So You Think is building a good profile with two wins and two placings from four starts to date. He was a dominant first-up winner over 1400 metres at Werribee on May 7 and will relish a step up in distance. He has shown to be very strong at the end of his races consistently recording some of the best late sectionals of the day. The stable is in flying form, champion rider Damien Oliver takes the mount and RIGHT YOU ARE makes strong appeal as the best bet of the day. RACE 7 NO.6 SIKORSKY Talented four year old SIKORSKY has returned from a long lay-off in flying form and looks the one to beat again when he runs in the Benchmark 84 Handicap (1600m). The son of Pierro was afforded a superb ride by Damien Oliver when scoring a comprehensive win over 1600 metres at Flemington on May 16. He is unbeaten in two runs over 1600 metres and should be even fitter now after three runs this campaign. He should enjoy a lovely run just behind the speed and everything points to SIKORSKY recording his third career victory from 11 race starts. RACE 9 NO.2 CARZOFF The Chris Waller stable has bombarded the Open Handicap (2000m) with multiple entrants and has the pre-post favourite GIRL TUESDAY engaged to run, however her stablemate CARZOFF makes terrific appeal at each way odds. The seven year old should be ready to peak following three runs this campaign and comes off a solid last start 4th behind SUPER TITUS over 2000 metres at Flemington on May 16. He drops 1.5kg courtesy of in-form apprentice Lewis German’s 3kg claim and appears drawn for a sweet run. In a competitive race, CARZOFF looks the value each way bet of the day. Market Market
