RACE 1 NO.6 HYPOTHETICAL

In form mare HYPOTHETICAL looks ideally placed when she contests the Mares BM78 Handicap (1200m) and should prove hard to beat. After a solid first-up win at Geelong, the four year old ran a brave third behind SNAPPER in the Grand Handicap (1100m) at Flemington on November 5. She drops back in grade and the extra distance of this race appears to be in her favour. It’s the perfect race for the Anthony and Sam Freedman trained galloper and she makes strong appeal as the best bet of the day.

RACE 4 NO.14 LIBIAMO

LIBIAMO has returned from a break in terrific form and gets her chance to win a race when she contests the Benchmark 70 Handicap (1100m). The four year old has been completely outgraded in two runs this campaign yet has been far from disgraced at either run. She resumed with a fast finishing 5th in the Alinghi Stakes (1100m) at Caulfield on October 15 before another solid performance in group three company when finishing 8th in the Furphy Sprint (1100m) at Flemington on Derby Day. This is a significant class drop, remains at her pet distance and only needs reasonable luck from an outside draw and she’s the one to beat.

RACE 5 NO.11 TYPHOON HARMONY

TYPHOON HARMONY is aiming to defend his title when he runs in the McKellar Mile (1600m) and looks a great chance of going back-to-back in this race. The six year old should be at peak fitness following two runs this campaign and comes off a solid 4th behind SAVANNAH CLOUD in the Ballan Cup (1512m) at Geelong on November 5. He found himself leading on that occasion which didn’t really suit his racing pattern but still performed very well suggesting that he is in good form. In-form rider Ethan Brown takes the mount and TYPHOON HARMONY appeals as the best value of the day.
