RACE 1 No.2 Fortified

Lightly raced gelding from the Chris Waller yard who charged to the line to score second up at Doomben and appears very well placed tomorrow to make it consecutive wins. His form last prep was very good before finishing out of the placings in the Group 1 Queensland Derby however he was certainly far from disgraced. Facing only average opposition and up in trip (ideal) he looks the way to go.

RACE 3 No.4 Lyrical Girl

Just had to do a little too much early on from a wide gate when resuming at Doomben which left her vulnerable once in the straight. Keep in mind she was run over by stable mate The Move who is absolutely flying having won again at the Gold Coast last Saturday. Drawn the pole tomorrow meeting inferior opposition she should lead and prove too speedy.

RACE 5 No.2 Whitewater

Just the three starts for this David Vandyke gelding and they’ve all been good strong finishing efforts. The latest was in town running on late behind the smart Startantes who has headed south tomorrow to take on the big guns in the Golden Rose. His sectionals were second only to hers on that occasion and he hit the line in the manner of horse now looking for a mile.
