Yes, she could be classed as a non-winner however she’s been nothing but consistent this prep winning first up and placing her past couple after being tardy to jump on each occasion. After looming to win at Doomben last start she just couldn’t quite get past however the numbers post-race suggest the run was a good one considering her poor getaway in an unsuitably run affair.

RACE 6 No.1 Veladero

Generous odds available for this Chris Waller trained middle distance galloper who although carrying plenty of weight does look to have a class edge on his rivals tomorrow. Placed 2 of his 4 starts this prep and not far away margin wise the other couple he drops back from Open company to Benchmark grade. Should have finished closer last start and can go a few better here.

RACE 7 No.5 The Lord Mayor

Goes into tomorrow’s Toowoomba Cup third up from a break after a tidy finishing effort at Eagle Farm two weeks back over 1500m. Don’t be concerned about the sharp step to 2000m as he’s successfully handled such a sharp rise in the past and will now be looking for the longer trip. His record over the distance is very good and he can certainly add to that tomorrow.
