Chris Nelson’s Rosehill Best Bets Posted on September 23, 2022September 23, 2022 | Posted by Chris Nelson RACE 5 No.2 Puntura Eagle Farm trainer Barry Baldwin has obviously had a good look at the weather forecast down south for Saturday! With a stack of rain due at Rosehill he’s decided to send his charge who is an absolute swimmer down for a crack at some decent prizemoney. Should we get into the heavy range he’s a chance, should we be on something resembling more of a ‘bog’ then he might just be a good bet. Well worth something each-way that’s for sure. RACE 7 No.2 Startantes Group 1 Tiara winner in the winter who had her first run back at Rosehill in the Sheraco a fortnight ago which I thought was one of the best of the day. Drawn wide she was in no hurry at the start settling back in second last position before charging home late, keep in mind the first three home all settled in the first four which adds further merit to her performance. The rain won’t be of any concern, she loves it! RACE 8 No.14 Fireburn Surely the forgotten runner in this race is the reigning Golden Slipper, Sires & almost Champagne Stakes winner! She’s going to get her favoured wet ground, gets to the longer 1400m trip & her first up run wasn’t far behind In Secrets from a sectional time viewpoint over the latter stages of the race. She’ll get back however look out late particularly should we strike a very wet surface. Definitely each-way. Quaddie 2, 1, 8 14, 16, 7, 3 2, 7, 11 4, 3, 8 Market Market
