Chris Nelson’s Randwick Best Bets Posted on March 3, 2023March 3, 2023 | Posted by Chris Nelson RACE 2 No.4 Café Millenium Couldn’t have been any more impressive winning this track on debut a month ago when looking in a hopeless position back last well into the straight after a slow getaway. He really did motor the final 100m or so of the race mowing down the leaders and then going on with it to score by over a length. There’s a couple much shorter than him in the market however at the better odds I’m more than happy to be with him. RACE 6 No.8 Giga Kick Everest winner who was beaten for the first time in his career at his final outing last prep down the Flemington straight in the Group 1 Coolmore. He didn’t have much go his way on that occasion and may well be going into Saturday’s race unbeaten. How good was his Cranbourne trial splitting Coolangatta and I Wish I Win, not a bad formline, they both go ok! RACE 9 No.2 Roots Looks a very suitable race second up for this Chris Waller trained galloper who might just have a bit on the opposition. Drawn perfectly for J. Mac she should land the right run and strips a fitter mare with that first up good closing third under her belt. She’s already a second up winner, this mile trip is perfect, looks her race.
