Chris Nelson’s Randwick Best Bets Posted on October 12, 2018 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Best Bets Race 2 No.11 Tristan De Angel Lightly raced gelding trained by the ‘King of the Highways’ Matt Dunn who should be ready to run a big race. Completely unsuited by the tempo of the race at Ipswich last start yet hit the line well. As for wet track form as we will be racing on a Heavy surface he has only raced on Soft resulting in a win and an unlucky run when held up. Expecting him to run very well. RACE 4 No.9 Kaonic Chris Waller trained galloper who appears very well placed stepping up to the mile tomorrow off a solid effort in the Cameron Handicap at Newcastle last time out. He won his previous two starts both here over the 1400m trip and shouldn’t have any problem getting through the Heavy going tomorrow having won and placed on the Soft. RACE 5 No.12 Awesome Pluck Plenty of interest around the first running of the Kosciuszko where this this resuming filly will be suited down to the ground on the Heavy. Lightly raced her wins have both come on wet ground & although yet to beat the likely favourite Victorem in races or trials the damp conditions could well swing things her way. Great value!
