RACE 2 No.1 Delexo

Will have his knockers on Saturday taking on 1100m on a surface which could be worse than soft, note he is yet to tackle anything in the heavy range. However, there’s no doubt he was a ‘good thing beaten’ last stat when unable to spot daylight until all too late. There’s no reason he won’t handle heavy ground should we race on it as his soft record is good and I see his dam is by Mossman whose stocks love the wet. Yes the 1100m is a box he’s yet to tick however at an each-way quote I’ll take the punt.

RACE 5 No.2 Ellsberg

Off the scene since beating all bar Brutality in the Group 2 Villiers here in December he appears very well placed on Saturday. Unbeaten first up (3 from 3) he handles all types of ground which will be all important with the wet conditions he’ll face in this Group 3 affair. He’s trialled well in preparation and I’d expect jockey Tim Clark will have him in the first four early on, from there he’s the one to beat.

RACE 7 No.9 Colette

On a huge day of racing the Group 1 Chipping Norton is the highlight, can Think It Over defy them all again, will Colette turn the tables on him, does Verry Elleegant need one more? All these questions will be answered and yes I feel Colette can turn the tables on Think It Over from their clash in the Apollo a fortnight back. The wet track is the key, she’s an absolute swimmer with a far better record on wet ground than dry. He’ll prove a tough nut to crack however she can do it.
