RACE 1

Genuine speed. Hard horse to catch is SEAFALL, her recent jumpout off a 36 day let-up was nice work in blinkers, she maps well, midfield the outer, the best version of herself is right in this and is my value play of the day. OVERACTIVE is a similar style of horse, up in grade, could possibly land one out, one back on a good speed and we know he has the finishing burst, a dry track is a must. CURSE IT is flying, caught up in a muddling race on the Heath last start, will need a good ride but is capable with weight relief. FIGLIO D’ARGENTO has one speed, if left alone a chance.

RACE 2

Moderate speed. Best of the day is TERILEE, lightly-raced and on the up, her last start win is what she’s promised to do for a while now and the market found her. Tracking the leader A DIVA everywhere, she just needs luck off heels in the straight to be winning. A DIVA may get it soft in front so deserves respect. Hard to make a case for anything behind them. MISS TARZY gets a welcome drop in grade. UNTIL VALHALLA needs speed and won’t get it. CHIRINGITA has been ok in two runs, open to further improvement.

RACE 3

Pace is on early with 2,4 & 9 all kicking up for a forward position. THEBELMONTGANGSTER was scratched last week for this. Maps to enjoy a good trail in behind the speed and recent jumpout was impressive. The former European returns for his 2nd Australian preparation, usually a recipe for improvement. TEST OF LOVE is down in grade and racing well, he’ll stalk CRIPPS our leader and up in grade, his chances depend on how much pressure he receives. Wider chances to SO RISQUE & ALERO.

RACE 4

AMBASSADORIAL is hard & fit coming off a four-week gap with a jumpout between runs, scratched from a wide barrier at Flemington last week, he’s well-placed to win again in a suitable race with the 2kg claim. XTRA RUSH will join him in the front pairing from his wide draw, Logan Bates may even push on and take the lead. BLUESTONE gets a beautiful trail in behind, he needs to stick his beak out when it counts. BERGASUN has improved with racing in the new stable. Also among the key speed influences.

RACE 5

PALTROW MISS is progressive, shown a likeable will to win in her short career to date, only neat in size, Logan Bates taking 1.5kg off her back, she was close to full fitness first-up and should be hard to beat again stepping up in distance. CLASSIC GEM was ridden back first-up after going forward in her jumpouts, await a change of tactics notice, she’s one of the best maidens in Victoria. Any rain would help. MISS REVEALING can improve sharply second-up, needs the speed on. JUST KICK was very good fresh, could improve further.

RACE 6

Race of the day, lots of promising fillies on the rise. MILOS FILOS sat wide on-speed and bolted in at Kyneton for a well-deserved maiden win, she draws the ace marble if the inside is ok. Big class rise, think she’s capable. So too AZZACOOL very impressive at Pakenham winning in fast time and drawn to land the sweet spot. TORONADO QUEEN & TORSHEEN have the established form lines TORSHEEN barrier hurts the latter’s winning chances. EXTRAGALACTIC comes into play if they go hard early.

RACE 7

Speed set by CELSIUS STAR. MYTEMPTATION can play the stalking role, found form at the jumpouts and followed through on raceday winning at Cranbourne, deserves respect staying at the level. THEBLADE is a talented gelding resuming, drawn the inside, need a market push first-up with this stable. KA YING CHEER is flying, had to knuckle down to complete the hat-trick at Caulfield and received a good ride. The quicker they go the better for his chances. LOVELYCUT resumes, she has a touch of class and will be charging late.

RACE 8

AMBASSADORIAL is dual-nominated in R4, aims up for a tilt at G3 level if he accepts here, drawn well with Logan Bates aboard carrying the minimum. He’ll share the speed with SEA WHAT I SEE and they control at their will. DOCTOR ASKAR creates interest, former Kiwi G2 winner now with Chris Waller, no jumpouts and a month between runs and deep into a prep. He’s found a moderate G3 if good enough. PLYMOUTH didn’t have all favours in the Albury Cup, he’s hard and fit and this is his pet trip.

RACE 9

KING ZEPHYR had a vet excuse for his failure first-up, trials leading in were outstanding and worth forgiving. Needs scratchings to get a run and enough pace on for him to be charging home. ATHANATOS is very consistent, lacks a punch at the end of his races, his map is ideal so must include in multiples. WROTE TO ARATAKI was freshened after setting a fast tempo in the Tressaday stakes, jumped out since, may need luck from the draw. PERSIAN SPIRIT another freshened, does get speed on to suit. Wide open race.

RACE 10

GOLD MEDALLIST found her true form third-up and landed some shrewd wagering. Can go on with it here with any luck in running from the wide barrier. EVERAIN is up in grade, a near faultless campaign, he was bolting in the run at Sandown and only squeezed late, there’s more to come. XARPO is fit and flying, tired late after racing on-speed last start, peak fitness now third-up and goes forward from the draw. EUPHORIC is a blowout chance charging late with the speed on, excellent fresh record.
