Chris Nelson’s Ipswich Best Bets Posted on June 15, 2018 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Best Bets RACE 4 No.14 Evolo Dominant winner at the Sunshine Coast two starts back racing away over the 2200m trip before being thrown in the deep end being sent around in the Group 2 Grand Prix last start. He did a terrific job racing wide throughout being beaten less than 8 lengths behind the Derby runner up Heavenly Thought. Back massively in grade tomorrow appears very well placed to return to the winners circle. RACE 5 No.14 Unlikely Story Missed the place only once however that 4th at his last run a month ago was his best performance to date. He drifted well back from a wide gate spotting the leaders plenty of ground into the straight before unleashing a big finish over the final 200m at his first try against Saturday grade. Drawn perfectly tomorrow he’ll get the right run and prove very hard to hold out. RACE 7 No.2 Tradesman All things being equal I’m not sure how the opposition can beat this Darren Weir trained stayer in tomorrow’s Ipswich Cup. Apart from a subpar effort in the Doomben Cup his form is clearly better than anything else in the race and he comes off a last start second behind Egg Tart in the O’Shea at the Sunshine Coast. Class above this lot who should be winning.
