RACE 2 No.5 Zavaboom

Caught the eye late at Ipswich first up charging home from the back of the field over 1000m. Tomorrow he takes the step to 1200m and although yet to win over the trip that’s not an issue as some of his best efforts, in stronger races have been over that exact distance. With Jimmy Orman to steer from a good gate he does look a ‘good thing’.

RACE 4 No.10 Port Mourant

Just the one win to date for this Sunshine Coaster however he’s rarely far away. He meets the more fancied Otyrar worse at the weights for a 1.25L defeat here at the beginning of the month however he was up 600m in distance that day and had only raced twice in the prior 50 days. Back to 2200m tomorrow he looks great value at the odds on offer.

RACE 5 No.4 Mix

Lee Freedman trained galloper who has firmed up in the markets since betting opened and I’m not surprised. He’s been terrific both runs this prep weaving home well first up before unfortunately running into traffic the latest before running home when into the clear. The barrier isn’t good on paper however ridden cold with one crack he’s going to be hard to hold out. Happy to back each-way at the double-figures.
