Chris Nelson’s Eagle Farm Best Bets Posted on August 14, 2020 | Posted by Chris Nelson RACE 3 No.6 Super Contender Lightly raced 5yo who has looked the goods at his 3 starts on the Gold Coast winning twice with a gallant close up 2nd sandwiched in between. His last start victory showed he is capable of winning better races when after being parked three deep without cover he strolled past the leaders at the top of the straight, from there he coasted away for a dominant win. RACE 4 No.7 Woman Of Gold Locally trained mare from the Heinrich yard who won at Eagle Farm against the tempo two back before putting in a cracking run same track last start behind the very smart Socialising. She gave away a big start on that occasion cornering second last before clocking quicker sectionals down the straight than the winner. Won’t spend a penny in the run and suited stepping out to 1400m. RACE 6 No.4 Clairvue Star Very interesting race this one with the southern visitor Return With Honour and the impressive debutante winner Super Effort locking horns and dominating the market. This gelding from the Waller stable may well be the forgotten runner, his first up run two weeks was a solid finishing 3rd when only really warming up late. Likely to get back again however the additional 200m will be a big help. Quaddie 1, 4, 7 1, 2, 3 1, 5, 6, 12 1, 2, 8, 11 Market Market
