Chris Nelson’s Eagle Farm Best Bets Posted on February 1, 2019 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Bets Bets RACE 6 No.3 Winter Passage Sunshine Coast trained filly who has only missed a placing once in her nine starts to date. Really liked her run here last start over this 1200m trip when running on well into 2nd once into the clear. Unfortunately for her the winner Magic Fox already had a full head of steam up and was in full flight sweeping down the outside. Big chance to turn the tables tomorrow. RACE 7 No.5 Ingeegoodbe Appears well placed at his third run back from a spell tomorrow stepping up to the 1820m. Just spotted him making late ground here over the mile two weeks ago which followed a solid finishing second when resuming at Doomben 10 days earlier. A winner on the track albeit over further he’s still fresh enough to relish this trip. Looks great value in the early markets. RACE 9 No.8 King Lear No bigger run than his a fortnight back here over 1200m. Drawn the outside he settled back near last and was still similarly placed heading into the straight. Held up for 100m before finding his way to the outside with 300m to go he let down with a big sprint to overhaul all bar the winner who led in a leisurely run affair. He can go one better tomorrow!
