Chris Nelson’s Eagle Farm Best Bets Posted on October 25, 2019 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Best Bets RACE 1 No.1 Spirit One Yet another very interesting 2yo race where the main hopes are clearly this filly & Press Start. Can build a strong case for both however the respective barrier draws clearly favour Spirit One who is speedy & showed a ton of it when fighting on well here on debut. In the same race Press Start got back & ran on after a tardy getaway. Looks a great exacta/quinella! RACE 7 No.11 Red Stina Quality mare from the Rex Lipp stable who resumed in impressive fashion here a fortnight back finishing a strong closing third over 1400m. In a race run only leisurely she wasn’t entitled to fill a placing however she zipped through the final 200m to claim a spot late. The additional 200m tomorrow is perfect for her & if within striking distance half way down the straight look out! RACE 10 No.1 Macewen Things finally went his way here last start when a runaway winner over this exact trip. He’d been a victim of slowly run races & traffic jams his prior two outings after kicking off his prep with a strong finishing second at Doomben. He does meet Pinnacle Star worse at the weights tomorrow however is proven over 1200m whereas his main rival is not. Too strong! Quaddie 11 6, 7 1, 5 1, 3 Market Market
