Chris Nelson’s Doomben Preview Posted on December 8, 2017December 8, 2017 | Posted by Chris Nelson RACE 3 No.3 Miss Miao Lightly raced filly who really hasn’t put in a bad run within her 6 starts to date. Ridden with zero aggression from the start she drifted straight back from an inside gate here a fortnight back and as a result was held up at vital stages in the straight, she still made good ground in a race not run to suit and should lap up the mile trip tomorrow. RACE 7 No.15 Inspired Estelle Dominant winning at her first local start at Doomben on Melbourne Cup Day carrying the steadier of 61.5kg. She was almost 3 weeks off into her next run where she drew a wide gate and predictably settled well back in the field. She did make some good ground to the 200m mark before just peaking on her finish. She’ll be a lot closer tomorrow from the better draw. RACE 8 No.4 Crack Me Up Can’t find any reason to jump off this promising galloper from the Birchley stable who was so impressive wining here a fortnight back accounting for the same opposition. They rise from 1350m to 1600m tomorrow which will suit him down to the ground as he was moving clear of chasing pack at the end of that race. Good gate, run of the race, wins again!
