Chris Nelson’s Doomben Best Bets Posted on July 22, 2022July 22, 2022 | Posted by Chris Nelson RACE 5 No.5 Proper Rogue New edition to the Tony Gollan yard who although well beaten by Delyth at his first run for the stable should take plenty of benefit from the outing and keep in mind the winner is a very promising horse. Faces the same grade, holds a good record at the trip, draws a good gate, has placed 5 of 6 on soft (without winning) and won his only start on heavy ground. Plenty of ticks for this one! RACE 7 No.11 Tarex Promising type who looks very well placed tomorrow. He’s chased home the smart Majestic Colour at his past two starts enduring a torrid trip two back parked wide without cover when a better run may well have reversed the result? Last start he proved no match however was strong to the line in the Group 3 Winx Guineas. The wet track won’t be an issue, the claim helps and he draws well. RACE 9 No.5 Go Wandji Returned in great order winning at recent midweeker at Eagle Farm producing his customary finishing burst to comfortably run home over the top of the leaders. Having won 7 of his 10 starts to date he’s one of the most promising horses in Queensland and will no doubt be on a feature race path next season with the winter his focus. He should be far too good again tomorrow. Quaddie 5, 6, 7, 1 11, 3 1, 9, 6, 7 5, 6, 3 Market Market
