Chris Nelson’s Doomben Best Bets Posted on August 5, 2021August 5, 2021 | Posted by Chris Nelson RACE 3 No.1 Contemptuous Lightly raced 5yo who really hit his straps last prep winning 2 of his 4 starts, he placed the other couple with one of those being behind the very smart Weona Smartone. Close second in a Doomben trial Tuesday morning behind the open class sprinter Racecourse Road in fast time with both runners given very easy hit outs. Can win first up. RACE 4 No.11 Fighting Commando Keen to have something on this one tomorrow as he comes out of consecutive high rating races at the Sunshine Coast his past two outings. Second to the very smart Joy Too All two back before bolting in last time spacing his rivals. He deserves a crack at something stronger in town and after the claim for Min Kennedy will only carry a postage stamp on his back. RACE 9 No.13 Really Discreet It’s going to be a bit of a wait however this in-form mare looks all set to bring up consecutive wins in the final race tomorrow afternoon. Absolutely dominant here last start at Doomben she sat up outside the pace before powering away in the straight to score by over 3 lengths. Tomorrow’s race is a little harder however she appears well up to the task and drops 1.5kg. Quaddie 14, 1, 9, 13 11, 1, 12 5, 6, 7 13, 4 Market Market
