Chris Nelson’s Doomben Best Bets Posted on July 24, 2020 | Posted by Chris Nelson RACE 2 No.1 Kisukano Terrific filly who returned in great order at the Sunshine Coast a fortnight back on heavy ground. The weather forecast suggests we’re going to be racing on something very similar tomorrow with plenty of rain forecast up to and right through the weekend. She’s the only 2yo to have lowered Rothfire’s colours which is no mean feat. No big odds however confident she can win again! RACE 4 No.2 Elixir Looked a race in three however with Jardin Rouge coming out Ditmas looks the only danger to this very consistent galloper from the Les Kelly stable however I’m confident he has the measure of his fellow Gold Coast trained rival. Just thought he missed the boat last week at Ipswich when Right Or Wrong took off around them near the turn before chasing home well. Can make amends. RACE 9 No.11 Roman Aureus Really liked his effort at Ipswich last Saturday chasing home Stuttering who he again meets here and again with a 6kg weight pull. Whilst I am no way knocking Stuttering who did have the gun run tracking the leader whilst this one gave away a decent start running wide on the turn before charging to the line late. This looks his chance to turn the tables. Quaddie 4, 6, 8, 9, 12 1, 8, 9, 11 2, 8, 10 1, 2, 11 Market Market
