RACE 2 No.4 Populist  

Backs up off a strong finishing win here last Saturday when charging past the leaders late to score running away. Ridden too far back the start prior he again dashed to the line late and arguably should have won, that followed an impressive front running victory at the Sunshine Coast. With the claim will carry only around 53kg and does look the one to beat again. 

RACE 4 No.2 Angus The Black

Busting to win a race and everything appears made to order tomorrow. Drew wide here last start when jockey Baylee Nothdurft had little option than to go back to the tail and either come wide or ride for luck in the straight. He elected to go with the second option and almost pulled it off, additional 150m tomorrow and a good draw can see him go one better! 

RACE 6 No.10 I Am Venus

Consistent mare having her third start for Kelly Schweida tomorrow. She strikes a hot race however is racing very consistently and is one of very few winning hopes in the race to come up with a decent draw. If able to hold a spot close enough early on in a race with good speed on paper she can make use of her strong late finish. Worth a ticket each-way.
