RACE 7 No.10 Chapter And Verse

Resumed with a ‘bang’ at Eagle Farm recently powering away from his rivals over the concluding stages of the race. He travelled beautifully to the turn, loomed up into the straight and just dropped on the leaders near the 200m. This is another stepping stone to the Group 1 Stradbroke in 3 weeks, confident he’ll handle it with ease.

RACE 8 No.13 Youngstar

Chris Waller trained mare who is primed to land the Group 1 Doomben Cup. Liked her closing effort in the Hollindale second up a fortnight back over 1800m suggesting the step up to 2000m on Saturday is made to order as she did run the champ Winx to a length third up in the Turnbull at Flemington last prep before running well in both the Caulfield and Melbourne Cups. Just needs a genuine tempo up front to beat these.

RACE 9 No.1 Scarlett Dream

Terrific in the ATC Oaks just over a month back when closing solidly to beat all bar the very smart Verry Elleegant cutting the margin back to under 2 lengths after just being baulked near the 200m by the winner. Not shirking her task one bit she got rolling again to clock the same last 200m sectional as Verry Elleegant and without doubt the margin should have been less. Can make amends here.
