Chris Nelson’s Doomben Best Bets Posted on March 29, 2019 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Best Bets RACE 2 No.9 Third Martini Chris Waller trained filly who arguably should have scored here first up in a recent midweek maiden won by Hit Snooze who then went on to salute again in a stronger affair at Eagle Farm last Saturday. Held up for just a shade too long she really found the line hard once into the clear & would have landed the major end of the prize in a few more bounds. RACE 5 No.5 Tawfiq Boy Very keen on his chances last Saturday at Eagle Farm when initially to the eye a little disappointing battling into 4th spot looking to have his chance down the straight. On second glances the 59kg may have anchored him & the 1200m proven too short third up both robbing him of any late dash. Back down to 54.5kg tomorrow up to 1350m he’s well worth another chance. RACE 7 No.9 Millard Reaction Looked promising at a couple of trials however not half as impressive as the debut win here at Doomben in a recent midweeker. He sat back off the speed before hitting his straps in the straight breaking 11 seconds for his final 200m to power past his rivals racing away to score by over 2 lengths. This obviously harder however he does look a serious prospect. Quaddie 3, 6, 9 1, 2, 3, 11 5, 8, 9, 13 4, 6, 8, 10 Market Market
