Chris Nelson’s Doomben Best Bets Posted on October 12, 2018 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Best Bets RACE 3 No. 10 Balius We’ll be racing on a very wet surface at Doomben tomorrow where the mudlarks will be well suited. A winner on a deteriorating Soft track here two starts back he then went around in a 2020m race which was a decent step up in class and distance where he faded from the top of the straight. Back to this grade on his preferred surface he can improve sharply. Good roughie! RACE 5 No.1 Tversky Absolutely flying this time in having won all 4 starts. He’s been a much more versatile performer as well having won from on and off the pace. Off a months break shouldn’t be a concern tomorrow and he’s one that will relish the Heavy ground having won both starts on the going to date. No reason he can’t make it five straight! RACE 7 No.12 Sweet Adaline Mare who generally takes a couple of runs to reach her peak which is where she should be now after clocking in 2nd at her third run this time in here a couple of weeks ago behind Galtero. She came from well back in the field to beat all bar the winner and will have no problems with the track conditions as she raced very consistently here on similar surfaces last prep. Each-way value.
