Chris’ Canterbury Preview Posted on July 22, 2016July 25, 2016 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Preview RACE 2 No. 3 Attainment Wagga Wagga trained gelding who bolted in on a Heavy (10) surface at Canberra by 6.5 lengths two starts back which followed a Rosehill placing in similar conditions the run prior when striking some early trouble. Last time out at Randwick he raced wide without any cover lumping 59kg and was still under 5 lengths from the winner. Drops back to 55kg tomorrow and will again get conditions to suit. Go well. RACE 3 No. 2 Art Nouveau Godolphin galloper who put up a big effort to win from the tail of the field here last start to score on a Heavy surface. He’s improved nicely this campaign with that win being his second in succession following another strong finishing effort at Newcastle. Aided by the claim for Andrew Adkins tomorrow he looks a definite value chance. RACE 6 No. 8 Invitations One from the Kris Lees stable who was very unlucky at Doomben last time out when held up until late, once clear he flashed to the line however ran out of time and ground to be able to cut down the leader. He also ran on strongly at the same track three starts back suggesting a win is close. He’s only had the one start on a Heavy track for a win which sets up well for tomorrow.
